Thanks.
I'm doing that too - she's not thrilled about another leg on an ERJ, but to that I say meh. |

That's the slow stuff. We have faster Amtrak trains here such as the first train in that video isn't the fastest stuff.
FWIW, I've taken Amtrak's Acela and Regional trains in the Northeast before. And they really weren't bad at all; the Acela reminded me a lot of European train travel, at a slower speed for most of the trip. |

Not in states with no income tax. And I don't remember anything on my Georgia return this year about trying to collect sales tax for online purchases.
I do remember seeing it buried somewhere in CA taxes. |

For (New) Mexican, Cervante's is pretty good. It's about 10 min. from the airport. They "stack" their enchiladas, which is apparently all the rage down here. Other than that, the only other Mexican I've had is at street meat vendors at construction sites. :o
Chama River Brew Pub is where I ate tonight. I had fond memories of it, but wasn't a huge fan tonight. There's a Pappadeux's as well, which I've been known to frequent. Fat Tire = :D^ |
Depending upon stage length (and in the NE Corridor), I might take Amtrak over an ERJ.

Ok, i'm off to bed. Nite box.

I realize that. Amtrak in certain, limited portions of the country is a very different animal than what it is in most of the country. But most of the US gets the long-haul, overnight service, not the frequent, more punctual service that certain areas like the Northeast Corridor have.

How long is that, anyway? I've wondered if flying into BRU and taking the Eurostar to LON is something that should stay on the list.

I've actually considered taking a cross country trip on a train, but I fear that I'd regret the decision about an hour or two in to the journey.
