Have they done anything besides change the color of the phones from off white to black?

Isn't this the second time they've gone under? I vaguely recall that they ran into a lot of trouble around the time they were changing from Northern Telecom to Nortel and thought they were in bankruptcy then, too.

I doubt that they will die completely.

And I agree that they struggled to innovate. Lots of issues with both their switching and phone/IP Telephony gear over the past few years.

they made a few new key systems and a few upgrades on some telecom backhaul gear, but not much else!

My flight went from 10 seats open up front to 3 in a matter of seconds...

I don't see anything in their history of another, but maybe it is due to the name change.

Officially unemployed as of this morning :) Yeah!

It's not all bad though... I've been on the bench for the last 3.5 months, collecting a full paycheck... and now they'll pay me another 12 weeks severance.

Now I can pursue the other things I've been working on. In a more official way... AND FRICKING GET BACK TO FLYING!!!!! :)

Oh it was far more rational than in some areas. Miami condos were just ridiculous. But there was still a very noticeable escalation of housing prices in up and coming inner city neighborhoods in cities like Houston and Dallas in the late 1990s/early-mid 2000s.

To top it off, I don't appear on the standby list...

Also, why can't CO just use the saved passport info in my profile? Couldn't I just confirm that and check-in?

I am starting to see some of the housing bust in Houston.

Builders are foreclosing right and left on their builds by us.

I've been watching a number of properties nearby that have sat on the market for nearly six months and they are nice places at good prices.

The area is definitely oversupplied right now, especially with a few of the energy sector companies going through hiring freezes.

Atlanta is very similar. If something was to happen that we were to have to sell our condo during the next year or two, I'd be very, very concerned. We bought in at a good price, but it's also going to take a while for the market to recover before we have any real profit potential in a sale.

I had no problem with co.com using my stored passport info during OLCI today (although the name on my passport and OnePass account match exactly).

This is probably the first time I've ever said this to someone, but congrats on getting laid off!

The name on my saved passport matches my OP account name, but my middle name is on my passport and it isn't present in the saved info (not sure how CO would know that).

I am on the phone with the elite line right now trying to figure out why I'm not on the upgrade standby list. They seem to be just as lost.

I've never had much success with having the Elite line deal with a name not showing up on the upgrade list.

Remember that the PDA upgrade list is not used until the gate. Getting added now will be just as good as being added when you arrive at IAH.
