When youre there - take a good look at the airport building. Does it look familiar? Think back circa 1978. DFW.
The powers-that-be in Lubbock were so impressed with DFW after it opened, they hired an architect to essentially steal the plans. Instead of a half-dozen semi-circles though, they only built one quarter-circle. DFW has since updated, LBB has not. It looks just like the original DFW. |

Yes it is. BPT, SHV, and now LFT. I should be adding LBB soon. Come March I'm hoping to get both TOL and FWA added on the same trip.

The current LBB terminal has also been expanded. What was opened in the late 1970s was later slightly expanded with several new gates being added. Of course now they really only need about half of the gates they have. |
