LBB

When youre there - take a good look at the airport building. Does it look familiar? Think back circa 1978. DFW.

The powers-that-be in Lubbock were so impressed with DFW after it opened, they hired an architect to essentially steal the plans. Instead of a half-dozen semi-circles though, they only built one quarter-circle. DFW has since updated, LBB has not. It looks just like the original DFW.

Yes it is. BPT, SHV, and now LFT. I should be adding LBB soon. Come March I'm hoping to get both TOL and FWA added on the same trip.

Awesome™. I'm sure I will add BRO/MFE/HRL (some combination thereof) by year's end. I now only need AEX and LCH to complete my tour of Backwater Louisiana airports. I did have the pleasure of driving through AEX this weekend (as well as Opelousas, Bunkie, Olla, Monroe, and Ruston ).

I should probably aim for MOB at some point this year. I've never flown to MOB, and it's only a short drive from there to Fort Walton Beach...

No idea... Guessing a poor tar job by the crew.

The only good thing about LBB is that they have the grid-system down to a science.

looks like many airplanes had an oil leak......if one was to look at it like a car, but it is far too widespread.

In this case, it simply means run from the TSA, they break your privacy rights.

Yep, I'm well aware of the story. :p I have been in and out of Lubbock at least once a month for over two years now.

The current LBB terminal has also been expanded. What was opened in the late 1970s was later slightly expanded with several new gates being added.

Of course now they really only need about half of the gates they have.

I may hit AMA as well. I haven't been to TYR in ages, but it used to be a regular stop for me. It's one of the nicest small airports in Texas.

Morning, Box. My left eye is throbbing.

I just got called out in a meeting for using a pen emblazoned with "the breast center" in hot pink letters on it. :o

2 options:

1, stop poking it
2, put a patch over it and celebrate pirate day a bit early / late. ARRRR.
