And this surprises you? I had a woman over the summer trying to convince me that I wasn't actually on the PrivatAir flight, I was on the flight to Dusseldorf, so I needed to get into the Economy line.

Nevermind the fact I was traveling to FRA, in J, and am :-:.

I was not surprised , I was angry , maybe they did not help me because I forgot my urban sombrero .

I told myself I would never fly US. I booked a ticket on US, proceeded to see the flight canceled and I will end up in ATL some 12 hours after leaving SEA.

I was actually reading the other day that the government is expected to start hiring a LOT in foreign service positions. They want folks with at least one language other than English and willing to get good postings as well as bad ones, but they are going to be ramping up those diplomatic roles pretty big in the coming months. I was thinking about applying but I'll have to find the links again.

But this could happen with all airlines, or not ?

Greetings from 12A in a frigid ERJ at EWR, where I just observed a baggage handler toss my rollaboard onto a cart that is covered with snow and ice. Is it that hard to take a broom or shovel and quickly push the snow and ice off before loading baggage onto the pile of snow?

I also avoid US Airways whenever it is possible. ;) I am hardly waiting for the CO *A join.

I have the same bag, albeit without the "x" on it. It is the same size though. I can fit my dSLR and 3 lenses pretty easily, along with random crap necessary to make things work (batteries, memory cards, cleaning clothes, granola bars, mini-tripod, etc.). I am a big fan of that bag!

^ I'm glad to hear it carries a fair amount of stuff! When it's empty, does it collapse at all? I'm trying to think about how I can pack it.

Good question - maybe it isn't. I have a hard time keeping track of what is acceptable to say on TV. The finger is the piece that they missed without a doubt though.
