Seems there are a lot of cO FTers that frequent the GVA route, anyone want pics I took of the meal and service on the way back last week? :D

I don't really want to do a trip report but I will say the catering and service GVA side was nice, I particularly liked the mustard that the swiss loaded up, good flavorful stuff not like french's that we have here!

I should be around. But I have no interest in seeing that game.

We could always do a mini-BRU on this side of the Atlantic at a small place like BXL on 43rd St?

I completely missed the part of szg's post where he notes that the NHL game is on Feb. 28. That changes a few things, I suppose.

And if we're going for just Belgian beers I'd go to George Keeley's so I can make progress on my trek to 100 and a plaque on the wall. The frites are authentic at BXL and not at Keeley's, but Keeley's has more space and the beers are generally cheaper.

Yeah , szg is going to SIN DO this weekend not NYC , unless he has cloned himself.
Thats why he is not coming to BRU , plus there is no IC Hotel for him to stay in BRU so he chose SIN.

Does anyone know who won this year's Tecmo Bowl?

Just booked 2 award tix; try as I might no VS had opened yet. Mixed bag of CO, KL, AF and NW (dom only and only portion in Y but will keep trying to get that up to F).

B&H is just overwhelming to an amateur like me, but I loved it.

I ended up getting this bag and my notebook does not fit . I am planning on getting a new smaller notebook in the spring, so I am keeping this bag.

I cant wait to go back to B&H!

I think that an evening at George Keeley's would be just the sort of NY experience that szg would love. If it really happens, I think that I might even come up to NY from Fla for the day to lift a few with the Box crowd and one of the truly good guys from the EU branch of FT.

The Eagles win, the Devils lose...I'm in sports hell. I don't care who wins in football that much; I'm a sentimental Giants fan because my grandfather was. I might not be a freak for any one NFL team, but I freakishly despise all Philly teams, and the Eagles winning just grates my cheese in principle.

The Devils got rooked on a puck that supposedly crossed the line - the ref pointed to show a goal but none of the video replays confirmed it.

OTOH, the fiancee's parents were over for dinner tonight and the presence of football in 52" of HD helped my father-in-law to be to get thru the evening.

A bad word and the middle finger on the Golden Globes. Where were the censors on that one? :D

ConciergeMike Jan 11, 2009 8:57 pm

Were there any Golden Globes to be seen on the runway?
