Yes, this is true, but I usually stay in BWs when I am in Europe on business, especially near my office in GVA since rooms are so damn expensive unless you want to stay in France and walk over the border.

What in the world does a room upgrade at a Best Western in the US get you? :confused:

I stayed at a few BWs in europe that were pretty good for the price
and very well located

I hope I never have the experience to let you know! But in Europe, they really do have some amazing properties. Nothing overly fancy, but nice none the less.

EDI had some very nice BW properties. I never stayed in them, but their lobbies/bars were quite nice.

No cigarette burns on the mattress and they actually clean the room before your stay.

I peed on the rug my first day of posting. I'm not sure it had anything to do with intimidation. I just peed on the rug five minutes ago.

Ditto. I'm actually (usually) pleasant and helpful out there. In here is where the real me shows through...

ETA: I think that it took me a solid year of being a member before I was comfortable posting, and only since about late 2006 have I really felt like I was useful here.
