Yes - all of the new 738s are being delivered with 16F seats and of course no mid-cabin lav.

That stinks. :td:

Holy EUA Batman!

I was in the teens on the waitlist earlier tonight when I checked in. I was number 2 with 1 seat left as of 5 minutes ago. And I just heard my favorite line ever, "Passenger Miller, please approach the podium."

Yes, seat 1B will be just fine, thank you very much.

:D :D ^^^

Oh, and drinks with ALCO and rolov at PC C South tonight were very nice. See you guys in the air over the west somewhere tomorrow.

S.

Congrats! At least we got you liquored-up enough on Charlie's Caipirinhas that you could have survived whY on a mid-con. :D

He drank plenty in the PC and is eating a nice plate of bourbon chicken and rice right now. He'll be fine.

The drinks continued on CO , and the 4P
See you in the air

ssullivan and CM, we received those valet keys with our Hondas. My wife has an '04 Civic that came w/ 3 keys. One is the gray valet key. My '06 S2000 also came w/ 3 keys, one gray. You should have received a key number plate with your keys. You will need this key number if you ever have to get a key replaced. Keep the plate stored in a safe place. Let that be a lesson to you!! Have spare keys!! :p

Well I had all three keys to my 2006 Accord until my partner's car keys were lost on his Vegas trip this week. This is the second time he's had keys get lost under similar circumstances while traveling. He had all three keys to his 2006 Civic until June 2007, when he and his sister went on a vacation together. They drove to the airport together in his car, and she put his keys in her purse. Somewhere along the way they disappeared out of the purse. Since then he's had the one regular key plus the valet key. Ironically a week ago today he said "I still need to get an extra key made for my car." Now here we are a week later with a master key we had cut yesterday that will only open the door, plus the valet key that will get the car started, but has no remote or access to the glove box and trunk.

I knew about the key code card, and mine's filed away. But we also learned yesterday from calling the dealer that if you have the VIN, any Honda dealer can quickly look up the key code for your car in Honda's database. That saved me a trip home to get the key code cards, and allowed me to go straight to pick him up from work after I landed at ATL.

And you also have to have the car at the dealership to get the car programmed so that the new key will start it. We still have to do that step. The cost will be about $120-150 for each key, and right now, we really should have three made, so that we'll have two remote keys again for each car, plus the valet keys we still have.

Yes it does.

But CO hasn't received a mid-cabin lav 738 since around 2002 or possibly very early 2003. After 9/11 they backed down on the original plan of getting all new 738s in that configuration, plus reconfiguring the existing non-mid-cabin lav 738s.

Why is Charlie never at IAH when I am? Does he work any time other than Friday nights in C South? I can't ever find him these days.

Morning, Box! You know the situation at home is bad when even OnDemand is making you go  - oh well, found 13 positions to apply to...a few in NJ, few in PHL, one in FLL, one in ATL.

we really should have three made.

I was wondering what the big deal was....but it finally dawned on me that newish cars are different. I was thinking why didnt you just go to Home Depot and have a few copies made for $2. Of course I was thinking of my Honda which is a 1995! I think I have 10 copies of my keys becuase I misplace them so often. The other thing is that everyone and their mother has a spare of mine just in case. :D Many times I leave the keys in the keyhole of the trunk or the passenger door and can't find them for a couple weeks, I can't tell you how many times I have done this! haha! obviously I have an issue with keys.

Here is one of my car key stories:
I was with my mother at Berings and I opened the trunk to load it and stupidly put the key down inside the trunk! You can guess what happened! Key got locked in the trunk and of course we were 40 miles from home with no one to bring us the spare and it was a Sunday afternoon! Had to drive to the dealer to get a key cut, but it was only one of those that opens the door and it was like $75. We ended up borrowing one of the Berings cashier's cars and drove to the dealer. What luck!

Well I think FLL would be preferential to the rest of us! :D

Good luck with the search - I know its a royal pain in the a$$

Probably goes without saying, but I prefer the mid-cabin lav. Sure beats walking all the way to the back.

I agree except when you are in the rear of the first class cabin on a redeye and keep hearing the woosh of flush.

Sorry to hear about your job, ConciergeMike. But a bright guy with the crossed keys ought to be in some demand even with economic prospects as they are.

Best of luck in your hunt and let us know when you get to Florida this December. If you want me to get the hockey tickets, it goes without saying that it is easier to do a better job of it down there than it is in NY or NJ. By the way, how is life without Marty?

you meanthe front, right? FTers should always be in the pointy end! :)

BTW, I am posting this from flight 3161 between ABE and EWR. My FlightMemory obsession has officially reached a dangerous level.

Thank you, sir - I wish I had the keys - I was just starting the application for them. If I did have keys, I don't think I would need to be looking. :(

I will be in town still, from the 22nd to the 25th. I don't think we're going to the game, as both females didn't show enough interest. Thanks again for offering.

Life without Marty hasn't been horrible so far - Weekes played great in the BUF loss and held it down for the shootout victory vs. TPA...I'm very cautiously optimistic. DTW tonight will be real tough, especially given all the injuries.

Oh, I know you hate the announcer, but the Newark Star-Ledger put out a 25th Anniversary Devils coffee table book. There's at least one shot of Chico Resch between the pipes in a Devils sweater, and one shot of Brent Sutter as an Islanders player. The old time stories from the Devils beat writer are great. The Devils have had the same beat guy since Day One, and his words with the various rinkside photo contributions make for a great hockey history piece.

Of course we should be, however I always prepare for the crowded mid-section. :D
