Its compensation from UA for problems in the air
they give you a pin code to punch in and it gives you options to choose
Alco said it best "They screw up so much the process is automated"

Still awake - can't sleep to save my life. Applied for a job in ATL at about 3am. The cat that hates me is next to me and purring away.

I can't believe that you had access to an emPower port at all. They were all closed over with a piece of plastic on my flights this weekend. :td:

Also, domestic redeyes are the devil's spawn. Even with a nice refreshing shower in the PC this morning I feel like crap.

Internet in PC C2/C3 is gawdawful this morning. It is something in the uplink to the internet. I'm seeing something like 20% packet loss, and the place is pretty empty - maybe 15-20 laptops out this morning. I actually had some work I wanted to get done on this layover while I was mildly coherent today.

I guess we got lucky, only alco had the adapter and tried to use it
I left my Igo at home
I had it on my DEN-ORD flight also , but the green led lights were on
so it would have worked

ETA: The boarding at ORD was done by elite level
I got some dirty looks for jumping to the front of the
line
I guess I don't look plat elite enough

ETA Again: Boarding has slowed down to a crawl
because the super gate agent is making people put their carry on in the
checker
He was on the PA explaining the new rules

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I've figured out CO's marketing plan for the PHL-EWR flights. Of the 37 seats on my plane this morning (all filled) at least 5 came in from SNA on the redeye. And I heard mention of California as origin for a couple more. Going after the US redeye traffic is an interesting move.

Awww. Our kitten was very cuddly last night. Which was good, because it was cold in the bedroom but I was trying not to turn on the heat.

That's what I usually get on UA too.

Yep, they are. I refuse to fly them. The only exception is ANC-Continental US. And that's only because it's usually the only choice.

It's been that way the last three times I've been in that club, and the club was empty. It's totally useless. CO seriously needs to fix the problem there. I couldn't even get a wi-fi signal last time I was sitting in the bar there. I could get a weak, almost useless signal in the middle of the business center work area.

Maybe. The 737s have disappeared off that route before, but they do seem to return in the spring. It's a little early for March at this point, and the schedule could likely change. On the downside, the 737s on the ELP flights are usually -500s, and sometimes -300s, and of course both types are in the process of having their numbers in the CO fleet reduced.

I'm feeling similar disappointment that CO pulled the lone 737 off the BTR route last week. But of course that route is about 1/3 the length of the ELP route.

Sad...

We are planning to go out to Marfa, Alpine, and a bunch of the other little towns out there.

Oh fun. I've grown to love that area of Texas. Let me know if you need any suggestions for places to eat, stay, etc.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to that for the morning. I guess now I'll just be looking forward to crossing it off.

The Q200 actually wasn't that bad for EWR-PHL. It was definitely loud on takeoff/landing, but at cruise wasn't all that horrible. The interior was a little bit beat up, but I guess I'm just used to props looking that way so it didn't faze me. I also didn't make it past row 1, so things may have been worse in the back. Lots of legroom in 1C/D, though no under-seat storage. Row 4 looked to have extra room as well, but I didn't measure.

Apparently someone in the DL Lounge didn't like that I managed to get over 1,000 posts in one weekend in the AMS thread. But fortunately a coworker of mine came to my defense in there.

I'd guess that Row 4 had an extra 1-2 inches of legroom. I'm about 6'1" and I could cross my legs sitting in 4B.

+1

I wish CO was more competitive with their NYC-IAH pricing for later 2009. Id really like to make Gold next year but I just bought AAnother ticket on a different AAirline for 65% of what CO was asking for Easter weekend.
