When anybody talks about United, all they mention are SWUs and E+, the truly addictive substances that are being peddled.

Believe it or not, there are some positives to United as well. For instance, as a 1K, I really do get a higher level of service most of the time. And with all the recent changes to Onepass that have further blurred the line between Plat and Gold, it's nice and refreshing to see that 1K still does get a much different level of service.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to that for the morning. I guess now I'll just be looking forward to crossing it off.

I like that plane! Some are pretty worn -- which is typical of regional aircraft -- but the Q200 is one of the best turboprops of its passenger capacity flying.

The airline geek in me was looking forward to checking out a new aircraft type, so I was a little disappointed when I saw a beat up interior and felt the lawnmower like vibrations. As I said, it turned in to a flight just to cross an item off the list.

The Q400, on the other hand, was actually decent. It's still a noisy prop, but not nearly as bad as any other prop I've been on. Between the Q2, Q4 and 145 flights I took this weekend - I'd take the 145 hands down.

DENIED!

It's probably cause it was a BMI number. The offers are based on your UA status so that is probably why the offer was so low.

So I was a good FTer this weekend. I went to a friends house and showed their twins the FT website and talked to them about the joys of flying and all!

Only problems with being on vacation is no time to FT? I need to re-set my priorities!

Didn't you say you switched to the Y, when did you go back to NYSC? Or, did the Y decide they needed to use NYSC's marketing style?

I have a bunch of free passes at the NYSC, the Y can get super crowded on the weekends.

I am looking to book AUS-ELP during March of next year and the schedule is showing all CRJs and ERJs. :td:

Maybe. The 737s have disappeared off that route before, but they do seem to return in the spring. It's a little early for March at this point, and the schedule could likely change. On the downside, the 737s on the ELP flights are usually -500s, and sometimes -300s, and of course both types are in the process of having their numbers in the CO fleet reduced.

I'm feeling similar disappointment that CO pulled the lone 737 off the BTR route last week. But of course that route is about 1/3 the length of the ELP route.
