Apparently free WiFi at PHL this afternoon. At least to get on to FlyerTalk. Awesome.
CM and I got to enjoy Tony Luke's and then some plane spotting at PHL. Good times! Now on my way to IAH to meet ALCO and rolov before heading to SNA to meet fozz. This isaFlyerTalk-ful day. :) |

Thanks, I did not realize this. I guess that limits my options to either CO, NW or DL to NRT and then NW to BKK, NW to NRT and then KE to BKK via ICN (I think...) or KE all the way to BKK via ICN. I'd prefer to avoid NW, DL and CO on the TPAC segment but I'm afraid availability won't allow me to do that. We'll see what CO offers on KE...

Sorry to hear it, CM.

The best shot (I think) of the few I took plane spotting with CM this afternoon...

CM, I am very sorry to hear about your job. I know this is going to work out for the best, but it sucks for now.

She arrived at 7:52 CDT. Weighing in at 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and 19.5 inches long. She already got an A on her first test! A 9 on her Apgar score.^ Time for some shut eye. We are all exhausted.
Congratulations! She's beautiful! Looking forward to hearing about her aviation adventures:) |

CM, sorry I'm a bit late on this, but just wanted to send my regards in the face of the lay off. I saw on the ticker on WNBC this morning that the Borgata had done a mass layoff and I'm sorry to see that you were caught up in it.
As others have said, I too have gone through layoffs and although it's never easy, you generally end up in a better spot. Knowing you were itching to get out anyway, I have no doubt you'll land on your feet in a few months and will be happier. It's never easy (especially with the upcoming wedding, and this wonderful economy of ours) but stay positive, keep posting in the box, and know you have friends out there that are always willing to help. If there's anything I can do, you have my email.

Hmm. So be it. I thought gray keys were standard-issue. But then again, it could be in the car. Purpose defeated.
We went to the Honda dealer and with the VIN number and documentation indicating he owned the car, plus his ID, they were able to cut us a master key that would open the doors, trunk, and glove box, but not start the engine. Then it was back to the airport to get in the car. Fortunately the valet key was where he thought it was, so we were able to get the car home. The dealer is near his work, so this week he'll take the car back there to get the real replacement keys made, since they have to have the car there to do that. And I'll have to take my car up there too to get a key made for it as well at some point, since the key ring that was lost had keys to both of our cars on it. |
