Ughhh.

I just looked at flying CLE-EWR on 12/11, back on 12/12. Only H fares available either day. Of course, the planes are only half full at best, so I don't get this.

And amazing AMEX Travel... wouldn't even give me a return flight unless I fly EWR-BOS-CLE or via ROC or ALB. I just do not get this.

I'm going to wait. Maybe the trip will just go away.

Even if it did, the coffee lady was IMO the catalyst for the rise of the overlitigious American society.

The fares on CO have droped to as low as $218+ from NYC for the weekend of the DO (if youre felxible)

The best SPG50 Values I've seen have been at the Westin in Los Cabos. You can snag suites that they usually don't offer at anything other than rack-rates for 50% off. The Sheraton Old San Juan also offers its top suites (including the Penthouse) at SPG 50 rates. You may not even see those suites listed as options on SPG.com. You have to call and ask...

The s/o wants to go to Los Cabos. How much did you pay with the spg50 cert?

The best I am finding for some random dates in Sept 2009 is $250 a nt.

I never went, but I recall holding a rez for a Governor's Suite (over 1,000 sq. ft., IIRC) for around $475/night. It has been about 18 months since I held that rez, so my memory is a bit foggy. Their suites were definitely available at SPG50 rates at that time, though...
