But still better than SPG. And to think they had a new and improved Hilton.com last year which I can't find things on that use to be out in the open.

I book a lot of hotel deals on Spec, then try to find crazy routings that will get me there. I also book two hotels per weekend usually, to earn two stay-credits per weekend instead of one.

I'm too lazy to even think about changing hotels night by night.

I can't
POST 1,000I honestly thought I was at 1000 a long time ago. Considering some of you did that many most in 3 days last week is seems to be a weak accomplishment.

I am now; but right before MR BL and I got married we did 4 nights in NYC and it was the W Court; Grand Hyatt; W Tuscany; Grand Hyatt - he was going crazy and I think seriously wondering what our married life was going to be like. There are times during promos where I will book two properties in a city and check into both but just stay at one.

I have my moments with hotel hopping. Last year I was doing a SPG promo and I was working in the SF Bay. I found myself driving up and down 101 to a different hotel just for the stay credit. It was insane. This year I got lazy and decided I couldn't do the same. It also didn't help that the Pasadena Sheraton isn't anywhere near as nice as the Westin.

I don't find it bad, other than the need to sign back in when getting passed between the Hilton HHonors site and the reservations sites. Most users don't realize this, but Hilton is basically running separate sites under completely different domains, which is why getting passed back and forth between the HHonors site and the sites used for making reservations often requires logging back in. My simple solution is to go to the HHonors site, and then after logging in, if I go to do anything with an existing reservation, I open the reservation in a new tab by holding down CTRL as I click the link. Same thing if I go to make a new reservation. That way the original log in on the HHonors site holds, because I never close that session.

Other than that, I think the Hilton site is a million times better than the SPG site. At least on Hilton's site all my reservations show up and I can easily do just about anything I need to with Hilton on the web. Can't say the same about Starwood.

CO added EWR-GRU (for $699+) to the list of specials for this weekend. I'm convinced that I've lost my mind because I actually considered going...

There is also a $680+ fare available this weekend if you play with the dates a little.

I hotel hopped this summer for a Marriott promo that was based on stays, not nights. It drove me nuts.

I've been known on four night business trips to stay one night in a Hilton family property three nights, then change for the last night, to maximize the BD miles. But that gets old.

Yeah - I read about this earlier this evening. They are apparently buying ATA's LGA slots. Very surprising because they always said the ATC delays in the NY market would be too much of a problem for them.

In any case, I'm not sure I see this having much (if any) impact on CO at EWR.
