Yep, and there's no point in me taking the 5:00 AM flight because the earliest I could arrive home in Atlanta is 1:30 PM, which is the same arrival I have taking the 7:30 AM flight out of LBB. The only difference is sitting around IAH for about 2 hours longer. No thanks. I'll take the 2 hours of sleep and the 7:30 AM flight.

Yep. I had about that many too a couple of years ago thanks to a client that insisted I stayed at the Country Inn that was on their campus's property. I even had elite status in the Gold Points program at the time. Fortunately I was able to redeem them for an Amazon.com gift certificate before they revamped the Gold Points program and eliminated some of the merchandise and gift certificate redemption options. I also got some AS miles out of it. In the end I think I had about 100 Gold Points left, which will be left orphaned for eternity.

Haha. Maybe when I was 21 I'd be up for that. At 34, not so much. I like my sleep, and don't do the hangover thing nearly as well as I did a few years ago.

Well, I finally got the green light for my ATL trip this morning. Only thing is, I have to fly FL  but it's in business :D. I lost my PC passes, though, so I'll have to pony up at the ATL PC or a CRC on Saturday. Such is life, I suppose. Off to the airport!

I provided my last two Onepass statements from the website. So I just loaded them up, created PDFs and faxed it in requesting a status match.

Took them about two weeks, but voila, got an email yesterday saying it happened. :)

I'm planning to do the same with NW very soon.

Does anyone know if this could potentially impact getting a status match with DL in the future?

I don't fly NW/DL that often but it would be nice to have Platinum status with them next year when the CO agreement eventually goes away.

I haven't flown N12327, but I've flown N17326 twice in the recent past:
  • 17-JAN-2007 CO0370 EWR-MSP (That was actually at the end of my MSP-LGW mistake Y fare run)
  • 18-FEB-2008 CO1587 ATL-IAH

Did you post that one in the Post-Whore thread?

Nobody knows for sure. The one thing that is known is a status match right now on DL does impact the ability to status match with DL again at some point in the future.

My thoughts on it are that if I'm still living in Atlanta (there's a slight chance we might actually end up in Dallas due to my partner's job situation, but that's pretty unknown right now) in July, I'll have no choice but to fly DL once I start a project in South Carolina. So I'll need a status match to either SkyMiles or World Perks at the point that CO leaves SkyTeam. Now if we've moved, it may not matter, as the only reason I was going to go for a status match with something related to DL was because living in Atlanta and working in Columbia pretty much meant I would be flying DL every week.

I can't say I've been on either. I think i've only flown a CO 733 two or three times.

I have spent far too much time on CO 733s and 735s.
