Morning all. Nothing like 85F to 28F in a day! :(
Fun trip home - HA, the ground handlers for DL in LIH, experienced a computer and printer crash during check-in and caused a 1.5 hour departure delay. This is a day after DL canceled the flight due to MX, so they already had a ton of angry pax trying to get home. We had 15 minutes to get from T5 to T6, which we made, but found DL had already rebooked us when we got onboard. The GAs said no worries, grab a seat and they will handle it. ^^ "Folks this is the captain speaking - we have been discussing an issue with our MX team and they feel it is best to swap out the aircraft...." Amazingly, they were able to do so in about an hour AND we were able to get out of our middle seats due to the re accommodation of connecting PAX. Long day, but enjoying the spa at the Grand Wailea made it all worthwhile. |

Kinda cold, by our standards. It was in the 40s again, this morning. Gradual acclimation to YXE, I suppose...

My parents are coming up to NYC this weekend and I'm getting text messages (who showed them how to do that?) every 10 minutes from them complaining about how cold it is up here. The canuck is in for a rough weekend. If she thinks me complaining about the winter is exhausting, she'll have a grand ol' time with me x 3. And, for the record, I'm NOT looking forward to spending Thanksgiving in Canada-lite (Rochester).:mad::mad: |

I have started to realize that obscure Arctic Canadian airlines are the 'Stans of this hemisphere. HS-748s, F-28s, Civilian Hercules, Do-328s ^

Meh, I'll be in Utica. Except for the longer drive Rochester might be a better destination.
Or you could go to Turning Stone. ROC isn't terrible. I always said (when I lived there) that if it wasn't in the snow-belt I really wouldn't mind it. That and the accent. The accent is horrible. It's a combination of everything wrong with the way people can speak. Maybe I'll enter an igloo building contest to keep myself occupied or something. |
MBM3, can you merge all - "I need XXXX miles to requal for elite status" threads please?
I'm liable to go all fctsy on these people. |
It's freezing here.
