Is it safe to call CO and put in for an upgrade yet?

Yes, it is. They knew about it reasonably early and closed it when they could. They know it is now closed. You won't be tipping anyone off.

Hmm.. I could status match. It's once a lifetime though, right?

Match to NW. Full DL status equivalency and you aren't really wasting a once in a lifetime match.

AA does a challenge, not a status match, and only to the bottom two tiers. And now they charge for it.

In other news, I'm cooking dinner tonight. The recipe starts with "Open can of beer and drink about half." I love that type of dinner. :D

Wow - that turned out to be a miracle in disguise! One of the records was switched to a flight departing JFK a day earlier - the day on which I've been waiting 12 weeks for 2 seats. The CO agent was able to call KE and get us a second seat on the same flight (because KE apparently was the one who screwed up our records)! So, my 14 weeks of calling have paid off! ^^ I certainly hope that this doesn't happen again...

That's great news. Happy it worked out.

You know, I may very well do that assuming the status match to NW won't get carried over once Worldperks is no more. I'm thinking that I should do it around October so I can hopefully get status for 2010 as well on NW (assuming NW still exists at that point in time).

Another supposed CO mistake fare was just posted. DFW to Europe? So that'd be BOS-EWR/IAH-DFW for positioning and then onto Europe. Too bad I don't have any more vacation time really.

50+ people on the standby list for msy. Why oh why is a city that should be under water so popular?

Are any of the SPG properties in Manhattan any good? They all look pretty bad.

Ugh - I hate NYC hotels.

EDIT: Looks like W Times Square might be my best bet...

The W union square is my favorite , Im not a big fan of the time square area.
The W the Court and Tuscany and pretty cool but in a sort of remote area.
The W NY has updated rooms but again but it is not optimal for me , as I really never go to that side of town , except last night when I was at the W NY .

I'm not a big Times Square fan either, so if there is a better option elsewhere, I'm all for it! Have the Union Square room been renovated recently? How are the room sizes?

I don't think those are the types of photos most people are going to MSY this weekend to take photos of. ;) :p
