The event happened last night U.S. local time, IIRC.

So despite some of you thinking that I'm insane (moreso than I already am), I just booked my Christmas ticket, and I'm proud to say that I kept to my convictions and booked the goofy PHL-CLE-FLL-EWR-PHL routing. If anyone is up for golf late in the day on 12/21 or 12/22-23, it won't take much (come to think of it, almost nothing) to convince me.

Some how our honeymoon reward itineraries completely fell apart. CO.com is all of a sudden showing us on completely different flights on different dates. Additionally, a segment was completely dropped from one of our reservations!
On the phone with the reward desk now... |

Thanks to having booked Christmas, I'm over 10K EQM booked for the year. I know most of the joint sneezes at 10K, but the last year I had a year over 10K miles of any sort was 2004. |
WWTBD (What Would The Box Do?)
After a frenzy of booked flights this week I've got just over 73K EQMs booked through July including one of the SEA-NRT B fares and another B fare trip to LIM. There may be a smattering more here and there but no huge chunks. After I requalify for plat I was thinking of just enjoying my platinum benefits and putting further EQMs towards million miler status (lifetime silver for a companion is looking pretty darn good right now). Or should I start looking towards another carrier? Maybe even venture onto the dreaded DL in anticipation of the Skyteam split? I'm based out of BOS so AA and DL have the most flights out of the hub. I don't really see a point in requalifying for UA until it's more clear how the CO/UA relationship shapes up (i.e. will UA status get my E+ access where CO status will not). |
