Just saw this on NWA.com and Delta.com

That has been up for hours.

The event happened last night U.S. local time, IIRC.

So despite some of you thinking that I'm insane (moreso than I already am), I just booked my Christmas ticket, and I'm proud to say that I kept to my convictions and booked the goofy PHL-CLE-FLL-EWR-PHL routing. If anyone is up for golf late in the day on 12/21 or 12/22-23, it won't take much (come to think of it, almost nothing) to convince me.

Some how our honeymoon reward itineraries completely fell apart. CO.com is all of a sudden showing us on completely different flights on different dates. Additionally, a segment was completely dropped from one of our reservations!

On the phone with the reward desk now...

I tried to hope for the best. It didn't work.

Thanks to having booked Christmas, I'm over 10K EQM booked for the year. I know most of the joint sneezes at 10K, but the last year I had a year over 10K miles of any sort was 2004.

WWTBD (What Would The Box Do?)

After a frenzy of booked flights this week I've got just over 73K EQMs booked through July including one of the SEA-NRT B fares and another B fare trip to LIM. There may be a smattering more here and there but no huge chunks. After I requalify for plat I was thinking of just enjoying my platinum benefits and putting further EQMs towards million miler status (lifetime silver for a companion is looking pretty darn good right now).

Or should I start looking towards another carrier? Maybe even venture onto the dreaded DL in anticipation of the Skyteam split? I'm based out of BOS so AA and DL have the most flights out of the hub. I don't really see a point in requalifying for UA until it's more clear how the CO/UA relationship shapes up (i.e. will UA status get my E+ access where CO status will not).

You do need to get airborne more - without adding any additional travel between now and then, I would hit my 30th segment on April 17.

If you are going to try DL for future travel , I would try to get a match on them , that way when you start flying you will have some elite status.

Who stayed on the mistake fare,I think sbm12, jerzyshawn, and sdm1130?

I'm in on the NRT fare. I am departing SEA 11-NOV on the redeye to IAH with 5 hours in IAH before the NRT flight. I am just going to hang out in the PC and take a shower. We come back 17-NOV with about a 3.75 hour connection in IAH back to SEA. The S/O has to work the next morning, so I may just purchase a B-up for the S/O and I will take my chances on an EUA with an el-cheapo ticket from SEA-EWR

Is it safe to call CO and put in for an upgrade yet?

CO doesn't know the answer to some of these right now. How close are you to MM? I also echo the status match if you are going to fly enough to re-qualify on another airline (and I would probably choose a SkyTeam airline or AA).
