When I was there it was closed to tourists
IM glad they started letting tourists in again.

I keep hoping that an aisle seat will open up on my CRJ flight home. And so far, I'm still stuck in the cramped window seat.

Attaching the word "international" to the Lubbock airport is like calling the bus from ABE to EWR a 744.

Well LBB will be more international soon as there will be Delta flights to MEM in the coming months. From MEM one can go international in addition to DFW and IAH!

On a triva note, was there ever scheduled international service outta LBB?

sdm1130 Feb 20, 2009 12:05 pm

We need to have an EWR-ABE Bus DO!

Well they do get the very, very rare charter to Mexico, which means they have to fire up those old rusted jetways down at gate 1 or 2.

Is there gonna be air-rage on a Friday afternoon CRJ flight?

Ok, who sneezed at EWR? Hooray for EWR ground delays.:rolleyes:

I'm sitting in the ATL PC and they just announced that we need to make space as more people are expected due to all the delays.

Anyone know if any of the CRCs are worth visiting to get away from this hotbox? Btw, ssullivan you were right, this place is warm.

As for the travel stories, i'm generally pretty good about where i'm going. Though, every once in a while someone in an airport will ask where i'm going and i just get this dumbfounded look and have to think about it.

I too have suffered through the "now where is my room" dilemna. One of my friends, years ago was traveling with me and a few of our other coworkers and our director. One particular night, said friend had way too much to drink and decide to excuse himself from the bar. About an hour later we called it a night and headed to our rooms.

As I got up to my room, I find my friend wandering the hall. I ask what's wrong and he insists that his key doesn't work. Apparently, in his overly inebriated state, he went and got a new key but even that didn't work. So, I take the key, walk to his room and voila. Turns out, he would stick the key in, but never pulled it out waiting for the little light to go on.

I still haven't let him live that night down.

Terra Nova in Sewell, NJ. Note that I said I thought it was good...whether or not it would stand up to New Orleans palates I've not a clue.

Yeah, they really are. I know in my case, they're succeeding.

*Wood is tremendously successful in repeatedly telling me that I'm not qualified to work for them. According to their job search profiler, five years of experience and a bachelor's degree means that I can be a bellman.

I believe to get the international designation all you need is a customs office there. Usually those small "International" airport handle the occasional freight flight on a prop UPS from Canada or Mexico.
