Are you actually flying to these places? Or just trying to collect bump vouchers and stay home? :p

That's the worse especially when the night before you were in room 423 and in the new city you are in 432 and not remembering walking on that side of the atrium and wondering, where am I?

Yeah, they really are. I know in my case, they're succeeding.

I haven't broken down to their nice offer to be gold again after one stay. Not knowing what my spg number is anymore does complicate the offer.

I started typing the post before noon. :p

I'm going to SEA in two weeks. It's on some level very strange: despite being unemployed, I've managed to pay off a credit card, and take a trip to a long-wanted destination.

Enjoy it while you can. I'm positive it won't be long before you are back to work and will start posting at 6AM ;)

I was looking at doing the same out of IAH since I have to be there anyway to pick up my dad but the only flight that has seats available is the 1:25pm one.

The category changes come at a good time for me. So far, I have 14 nights over 6 stays book at SPG properties. I should have no problem getting to Gold before the end of the year.

The latter option.

Where'd you procure this supposed Jersey Jambalaya? The only meal that I've had in Jersey that has passed for jambalaya has come from my grandma's kitchen in New Orleans.

My bmi reward finally ticketed, now I am just patiently waiting for F availability to open up.

Hmmm..... I may have to review his shows for some ideas.

Basically I would like to travel in style and enjoy great food and wine along the way at cheap prices. The usual. :)

I think in the end that teaching may afford me the most flexibility to do all these pursuits.

I just now noticed that 300 people are not going to fit on a A319. That the *A DO will either have to charter an A346 or 744.

It also worried me that I was on a first name basis with several US employees in LGA.

Back in my craziest travel days, and before the age of BB, I came off of a delayed flight and was approached by the agent there to assist connecting passengers. She asked me where I was heading and I completely blanked. A few dumbfounded seconds later I said "Charlotte. Wait, no, I'm in Charlotte, um....I DON'T KNOW!" and almost broke down in tears as I pulled out my folder with travel docs. That was when I knew I needed a break...

As for knowing the LGA US employees, the only one I came to know and love is Jean in the lounge. She was excellent, greeting me by name as soon as I walked in the club, and along with the Chairman's desk could be counted on to get me where I needed to go when things went FUBAR (as they often do on US)

Yep, or where you parked at the airport. "Third floor row D...ugh..not there, that must have been last week."

They've been practically begging me for more business for a few months now. I'm doing a status match to Platinum with them and shifting some business at one of my frequent work destinations their way as a result. Unfortunately they still can't do anything for me in several places I go, but in Baton Rouge and Los Angeles, they can. Those trips will account for about 18-19 trips, most of which are for four nights. Unfortunately in Baton Rouge I have yet to find a hotel I really *love*. The Sheraton is much newer, and the rooms nicer, than the Marriott. But the Marriott has a much better lounge, with better food in both the mornings and evenings, and a larger, better, and cheaper selection of alcohol. The Sheraton's customer-facing employees are pretty , whereas the Marriott's are really good for the most part. Location wise the Sheraton is much closer to my client and allows me to completely avoid the I-10 parking lot, while the Marriott is about twice the distance from work and involves sitting in traffic twice a day. So I've been torn for months between the two. Honestly, if I could take the Sheraton's rooms and location and combine it with the Marriott's staff and lounge, I'd be quite happy.

That's what I figured.

Hmmm, I'm working from home next week. I could just as easily work from ATL…

Starting with another Seinfeld quote:

"who goes on vacation without a job? What, do you need a break from getting up at 11??"

It isnt a break from waking up later in the day, aka 8 or 9 ish. It is a mental break from STW that I need. Come here for the weekend and you will understand!
