Yeah, the food options in D suck. Other than the Chick-Fil-A in A, Concourse E is really where you have to go to get decent airport food at ATL.

E is the only decent part of ATL.

Sounds like a plan. So, when COS renames their airport to Randy Peterson, flying from COS to LBB will be an adventure - connections and all.

Yep. Scheduled to arrive at 5:37 PM on DL 5058 from BTR. Looks like we're assigned to arrive in Concourse D today, probably at one of the  RJ gates with no jetway.

I'm sure this flight is going to be so Awesome™ that I won't feel the need to fly a DL regional partner again for a good 18-24 months.

DL regional partner flights on CRJ's are always Awesome.

BTR was one of the airports I was looking at using today, all the flights sold out before I could get a ticket.

Yeah, I'm sure lots of people are using it as an alternate to MSY for the weekend.

My BTR-ATL flight is likely to be oversold. I may have to weigh the bump options. After all, I'm already on one craptastic CRJ. It's not like switching flights would mean the loss of a good seat or a downgrade in equipment.

In their defense, the flight over here Monday wasn't too terrible. I didn't realize that DL's CR7s have an enormous amount of leg room in the exit row. It's like row 12 on the ERJ. For an hour long flight, it wasn't too bad. We actually left on time and arrived a few minutes early, so I can't complain much.

On the other hand, my flight today is already running a few minutes behind schedule.

The Comair CR9's aren't too bad, especially in the exit row (or in F).

Possibly. At least they have windows. So much of that airport doesn't. I hate the long stretches of Concourse C where there's not a single window. You can't even see if your plane is at the gate because of it. And despite the recent renovations, the place still feels like a cave in certain areas.

You guys complaining about ATL being crowded must be too young to have experienced the craptastic old terminal.
I once had just over an hour to make a connection... I allmost missed it just because the terminal was so crowded you could hardly walk from one end to the other.

Because 70% of the population smokes.

Sorry when I say DL I mean the new Delta. The flights may only be showing on NWA's site. On the interactive route map the MEM flight shows and so does a flight to IAD. I think I read that the flights begin in April.

Looks like the flights start in April. Here are the times. I was unable to find the Washington flights that the NWA map show. Those could be tagged as direct via MEM though.

LBB - MEM
6 am to 7:50 am
4:15 pm to 6:05 PM

MEM - LBB
1:40 PM to 3:46 PM
7:36 PM to 9:36 PM

I did both for one flight. I had an Arby's Big Montana and a couple Chik-fil-a sandwiches for my ATL-EWR. I've never felt so ill from a non-alcohol related event in my life. :o

colpuck Feb 20, 2009 12:56 pm

mmmmm chick-fil-a

So they don't offer non-smoking rooms?
