Hey CLE-based folks, grab some of the cheap PIT-SNA tickets I just found while trying not to pay $800 - yes $8:rolleyes::rolleyes: - to go to Vegas for my best friend's bachelor party.

I grabbed a $119 one way from CLE, but PIT is much cheaper.

Too bad this is the only flight all week I received an EUA on in advance.

In other news there's two guys surfing on top of the jetway at A2. Has anyone seen rolov lately?

Im in here and not surfing the jetway :D

I love to sail. The fun in these cats is getting them to go as fast as you can without flipping.

The boats at the place we stayed were included so I went out about twice a day. The wind was AMAZING on three of the days we were there. If you knew how to sail you were in for a treat. Otherwise, I imagine it was pretty terrifying. I was actually surprised they let people out. The cleats on the main sheet line of the boats were all completely worn out, so you had to hold the rope the whole time, but that wasn't too bad as it made it a lot less likely you'd flip.

I actually managed to flip on one of the really windy days. We flipped over *forward*. Yes -- that's right. The mast is attached to the forward spar between the pontoons. That means that the center of gravity, particularly in a lot of wind, is quite far forward. We were going really fast and then a huge gust of wind hit and pushed the nose of the lee side pontoon a bit lower in the water. That allowed the spar between the two pontoons to touch the top of a wave and the next thing you know we were swimming! It all happened in about a second. I'd never seen, heard, or thought of that as a failure (flipping) mode. I righted the boat pretty quickly. I don't think anyone on shore even saw  ... We were moving again in a minute or two. I did see a few other people flip (amazingly, mostly on the relatively calm days). None of them had any clue how to right the boats, and they all had to wait to be rescued.

How do you right a cat? I miss my Sunfish sailing days. I never could use the cleat as I liked to make little adjustments as the wind made minor changes.

You stand on the lower pontoon, grab the upper one, and lean back. it's best if you do this near the mast. I couldn't quite reach but then I noticed a rope that was perfectly positioned. It ran from where one pontoon met the spar to where the other one did. It was mainly used for pulling the boat onto the shore. I grabbed it, leaned back, and in a few seconds the boat was upright!

I have some friends that keep me updated about these gangs that put out eye of kids and elderly for begging purposes :(

When we went some morons took their kid who cried throughout the movie. They were on the other end, but we could still here the kid. About 3/4 of the way through the movie, they finally took the screaming kid out. Kids belong at kids movies. You can't afford a sitter (or don't trust one) then wait until it comes out on DVD.

I'll take powered motion across the ocean...and I don't mind paying for it, either. Give me a SeaDoo/Bombardier-esque product any day of the week.

I took your advice several weeks ago and snagged a cheapie from PIT to LAS for a 3 day meeting starting Thursday. It's about a 90 min drive from Akron to the airport. Already been upgraded from PIT to IAH. However, no chance from IAH to LAS, at least not on my L ticket fare.

And then you need to come about and the boom comes swinging at your head.

I plugged in some dates in late March and got PIT-SNA via EWR (2700+ EQM each way) for 204 a/i with a one-night turn.
