Have you been there during any significant weather delays? That experience alone could make anyone hate ATL.

I would myself but after eating their "food" for more than a week, I'm due to take a massive Glenn and will most definitely have to wipe my Tilton afterwards.

Need to send that info along to CM - he needs some nice inexpensive MRs. Wish I could help with good yet inexpensive SAN hotels.

Yeah, no kidding. Hopefully the yob thing works itself out and I can start thinking about flying again.

Brituchenite -- I don't suppose you're in the HNL lounge right now? :)
'fraid not. Wish I was, then I would keep you company. Had fun hanging out with you last week. Hope we bump into each other again. Thanks for all your help! |

Saw PHL-SAN (via IAH) on Farecompare. Went to CO website. Lots of availability for $177 a/i to SAN and can do quick turn. Fares seem to be good through mid-May. Can also do same-day, but on this particular occasion I can't leave PHL until 5:42PM flight.
Had some similar rates to San Jose. Got a couple of those in the next two weeks. CM - check them out and see if any dates are good for you! |

I, too, would like a new yob and have had nearly no luck in finding one in DEN, BOI, MCI, AUS, or DFW. Why will no one show me some employment love?

Effectively, there are no cheap hotels in SAN that are worth staying at. There is a Sheraton across the street from SAN but it runs around $240 per night on weekends. There is a Marriott Courtyard just up the 5 in Old Town and one down the street from SAN in Liberty Station, clocking in at $109 and $169 respectively. I haven't stayed in either but while the Old Town location is somewhat older, the Liberty Station property is fairly new. Deals can be found in Mission Valley and further inland (near where I live) but you'll need to rent a car to access those as cab rides will be cost prohibitive.

I've seen MR-worthy fares for PHL-SEA/SJC/OAK/ONT, and the bad economy has now added SAN in some cases. I'd be all over those if I had a job and had less debt (which is ammo for the female types to tell me that I should not pointlessly fly) I'd be the first one to be organizing MR Pub Crawls.
Am trying to fit in more to get to PLAT for 2010, but damn it, work keeps getting in the way! $177 a/i is such a good deal, and 5 more of these would get me to PLAT...... Bugger! (A quaint, "ye olde English term" that I use frequently in any manner of situations .... :D) |

Only one Xfer allowed each way? This sounds like another SkyTeam partner that's not NW.
G'night. |

Beyond that I decided to wander over to one of the eateries here and settled on the burger. Beyond a CO FA who's eating -ribs, I think- a few tables away from me there's not much going on here. <yawn> Looking forward to my red-eye back to LA. |

Same here -- glad the upgrade went through and let me know if you need any more help with ITA.

thanks, Mackieman. Maybe I'll look for deals at the Marriott Courtyards. All I need is somewhere clean to lay my head overnight. Don't need a fancy-schmancy place.
