I am still looking at LAX-SEA-LAS next week, with a $60 car rental from SNA.

Or simply sally out and grab the business select fare on WN and sip my complimentary Heiney.

Years ago, they used to operate NRT-LAS N/S, after its demise, they inaugurated once daily LAX-LAS to makeup for the NRT-LAS N/S which has always been a guaranteed upgrade for me.

Personally, I would go with the Business Select Fare on WN and go N/S.

Now just using the different variants of the E145s and the lovely CRJs.

Looks like DL has finally gotten rid of the Chautaugua 135s as well. Of course, the 135/145 are equally bad ...

Yeah, I am leaning in that direction but really could use the extra miles, which is clouding my judgment a bit. It would end up being a very long day for very little extra reward.

That being said, CLE-IAH-SNA/LAX-SEA-LAS is a hysterical routing. Maybe I will just try to do something while the boys are golfing one day.

I do not mind the ERJs for the short flights, it is when they are used for long 1.5+ hour flights that annoys me. I also do not mind Q2s/Q4s much for regional connections.

Never done a 135 or Q4 - would like to try the Q4 though...90 minutes is about my limit for ERJ's. On PHL-CLE I have to wake the butt up.

If I get an A seat (which I almost always do), I can handle the ERJs. When I need to get to D.C. in a hurry, I often fly BNA-DCA on one when cheaper than WN.

I haven't had the occasion to fly a Dash-8 in quite a few years. Think BWI-PHL and PIT-IAD back when that particular airline still had some minimal standard of service (and had a commanding presence at BWI, PHL, AND PIT).

I just finished the third of the Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp novels. They're OK and certainly decent reading to pass some time, but I'm very annoyed at some lack of attention to details.

An AA flight from BWI-MXP? Please. At least make up a UA flight from IAD. Also, site, sight and cite are different words. So are queue and cue.

Hrm. I thought that MM status gave you lifetime silver and that it took 4MM to get lifetime plat, and that the benefit was extended to a spouse/significant other. If he made platinum on his own than he was plat and she remained silver. Perhaps I understood it incorrectly. Either way sounds like a good deal to me.

The significant other is granted the same status as the elite, which is at least silver at the MM point. If you are a 1MM and a current platinum then your significant other gets platinum, too.

A family friend and I were speaking yesterday about AZ's brief IAD-MXP flight. Wasn't bad to book for less than $600 RT in the summer of 2004 (even though it was on AZ).

I'm willing to overlook certain lack of details in stuff like that in exchange for however he seems to get the level of governmental detail that he does. One of the books in the series had info in it that managed to get Flynn flagged by the Dept. of Energy. Apparently his knowledge of the Nuclear Emergency Support Teams got him some unwelcome attention. I usually catch little offenses to English like that, and I don't remember too many from the first three books, but in my own defense I had just gotten laid off when I was reading them and had no trouble staying up til 5am to finish the books.

Oh, and BTW: the CM Free Library Project is always open to The Box. :D

Some of us need a borderline-NSFW warning. If I had to disrobe that much, I wouldn't even be attempting that shot.

Sorry, should have warned - it is on the Cnn.com homepage (no doubt as one of the more popular stories) and is being shown on TV. I'm guessing it could even make the cover of one of Plus1's golf mags!
