I try to avoid most chain restaurants.

With the exception of Whataburger, I tend to agree.

You simply have not lived until you have tried some of these awesome products distilled 5 minutes from my house. There are simply no words to describe the experience....

YUM!

...besides Ride The Vomit Comet Baby!

I do not mind PF Chang's and Chipolte, but I usually stay away from chains as well. Well, I do love me some IHOP p-cakes!

Anyone know if Charlie is working in C-South today?

What are the specialty he drinks that he does that I should try?

He usually works there Friday evenings. He mixes a mean Whisky Sour and a fantastic Caipirinha. I go for the Whisky Sour if I want to be somewhat intelligible on my upcoming flight, and the Caip if I want to be completely drunk (it's essentially a glass of rum over ice, with crushed limes and sugar).

Yeah, Paramount. We should have a Paramount factory tour DO in CLE.

FYI, there's a post in the BD Forum indicating it may be possible to get 2,000 BD miles just for updating one's email info. Miles may or may not post, if you weren't targeted, based upon past experience. Worth a shot, anyhow.

Also great with Vodka, as noted when sharing one with some Brazilian IndyCar drivers during my days at the Cleveland Grand Prix. The rum had run out, so they assured me vodka was fine as well. And it was.

Everytime I tell Charlie that I live in NJ, he tells me how he lived up here and worked in Secaucus .

They call it a Caipiroska .

ETA: Were they drinking before the race :)

EWR needs some better bartenders - at least ones with a little personality.

Morning Box! Happy Friday.

An update on the job front... after more than a month of waiting, it now looks like they will proceed with a formal offer and a start date. It's been a long month of waiting... I'll feel relieved when I have the actual offer in my hand.

One project they are looking at is to send me to the UK for some period of time :) No problem with that at all...

Details to follow. More coffee required.

Congrats, sir. :D

At least buy tito's it is very very drinkable and only a fraction more!

Tito's is great. It's more drinkable and smoother than lots of much more expensive labels.

Waffle House, Friday's, the Palm, Morton's, and Outback sum up my chain preferences.

Afternoon, Box. Watching the golf from SJU really is making me itch for the start of the consistently good weather and another golf Mini-Do.
