You would be welcome. It now looks as if there's a sizable contingent of FT  that will be adding to the mayhem. If 85% of the participants are able to return alive (or without interpol warrants), I'll consider it a great success.

I had no idea you were a fan of that swamp lizard team.
Growing up we had season tickets for football and basketball and I just assumed everyone else did, too. Turns out not so much and that I was lucky to have university employees as parents because they could get seats and they weren't too expensive. My uncle had baseball tix too, if we wanted to go, but that wasn't as big a deal growing up. As I got older my older cousins/siblings friends started going to UF and playing on the teams, which was even better. @CM, yes the ball goes in the hoop a lot, but there are also a lot more shots taken in basketball (based on my very unscientific observances). So that skews things a bit I think. And the college and pro games are very, very different. Moreso than football. There are plenty of games I've watched where the pros don't bother to show up in basketball. They play 80 games and half the teams know that they are no good and don't bother trying. The college guys play about a third the number of games and they matter much, much more. Plus they really only play a home-and-home against each team in the conference so those are a lot more important. And the conference tournaments and NCAA tournament format is way more exciting than a bunch of best-of-7 rounds. You really can have a small school show up and make a huge run (George Mason makes the Final 4 in 2006 before losing to the eventual National Champion Florida Gators). That adds drama and excitement to the environment. |
Otto the Orange...the only funny person named Otto I've ever come across was Otto and George. (Link is very NSFW.)

ALCO, having never been to AMS I am bringing my camera on the trip. Do come up with a list of events that are camera allowed and camera verboten.

Him and Rolo both. Come to think of it, rolov has been wearing a black UF polo just about every time I've seen him. He wore one to the golf mini-Do, he wore one when he stopped in at Borgata on the way to PHL, and I think he was wearing one for the party flight. And my powers of minutiae observation could be flawed on this, but I think there's more than one piece of UF paraphenalia on his golf bag as well.

Just sent email to deadbeat friend who had his bachelor party in NAS, who had complained about flight prices to AMS. ...
As for basketball, I do not care for it. I like March Madness, though, but outside of that I won't watch it. My school has a crappy basketball team and I don't know the last time they made the field of 64. The women have been pretty great though, but at least the football team is good, finally. |
There's an urban legend that I somehow acquired the :rolleyes:tt:rolleyes: costume one evening and went to put it on but was so overcome by the stench that was emanating from it that I thought better of my grand plans and quickly posed for a photo. Said photo may or may not be framed in my apartment. |

The most important rule. The Vegas rule. Two of my friends violated that rule  |
