Maybe so, but at least the CO people (for the most part) know when something needs attention or elevation, where the UA people will PM that poor soul if someone farts too loud in an RCC.

My eyes should have been open the whole time. It is not as if it is a surprise that our phones are recorded. We are all aware of it, but sometime you just say something you should not and figure no one will hear it. I was just angered at my boss that he green lit something for someone without telling anyone. I just received an “oral counseling” so nothing in my file. I really want to look for another job, I have 10 years where I am at now and don’t really want to start fresh somewhere. I like what I do, and I like the company. I just can’t stand the hostile atmosphere anymore.

Well, I meant eyes other than yours. Oh well.

I tried to give UA-land the benefit of the doubt....I started reading over there a few months ago and the only thread that gives me any enjoyment is their Ask the Pilot thread. All one needs to do is lurk over there for a few days and it'll be crystal clear as to why UA doesn't make money: they don't care about anyone except GS, the FFers there are vehemently opposed to an EUA system, and their status tiers are rigidly enforced to the point that the the higher tiers probably believe that they are genuinely better human beings than the lower. I know there's some CO folk who also hold a status over there, and I certainly don't mean to pigeonhole them or make a blanket generalization, but it sure seems like the majority of the crowd over there are a polar opposite to CO. After the *A thing happens, I for one will be extremely careful in avoiding UA-operated flights. I don't want to learn a new FF system, and I don't want to be treated like something that lives on the bottom of a gate agent's shoe. That's the impression I get from that forum, and if I'm wrong so be it....I'm willing to listen. But that's where I'm at so far.

I was 1K for 7 years. I don't miss anything but the SWU. I occasionally have to fly UA and I HATE it! I did have a remarkably good crew recently HKG-SGN, but that was paid F and there was I think 2 of us in the cabin and 2 or 3 FAs working so it should have been good. I was very disappointed to learn CO was "bonding" with *A but c'est la vie. I can't change it and fortunately I know the system well enough. I just don't like it after being over here for the past almost 6 years (I haven't been a 1K for 4 years).

Now that the meet/do/thing is announced, can we plan our box meet/do/thing? I nominate Thurs night if people are getting in early enough or Fri prior to the party.

If enough of you guys come in Thursday I will try also. I was planning to take the first flight out of PHL on Friday morning and return Monday afternoon.

We probably won't arrive in to IAH until mid-afternoon on Friday. I suppose something before the Friday event or sometime on Sunday afternoon would also be options for a Box meet...

Sunday afternoon/evening would be ok for me also.

Sorry, I read it quickly. I wish others who are in a position to change things were aware of our problems. They either dont know or dont care :rolleyes:, I am not sure which.
