CHI is a mess, to the point I said F it and simply sat in Ditka's drinking Goose Island all afternoon rather than xmas shop.

Now sitting in MDW on a two hour delay. At least I have my free drink coupon and group A2 for boarding.

Agreed that CHI is a mess. I finally made it in to ORD only 2 hours late. And my 6:55p departure is now at 8:45p and gets me to EWR just after midnight.

I'm glad I don't have any worked planned for tomorrow so I can sleep in.

ORD. Where it's not a question of IF you'll be delayed, but HOW LONG you'll be delayed. Even in VFR conditions.

Agreed. Sadly it was many hundreds of dollars * 2 tickets for a better option. I tried for ~7 hours at the airport to get a non-stop or an earlier flight. Instead we're running ~2 hours late. Not all that bad for ORD with a bit of weather coming down. The sad part is that I realize that it isn't so bad and am actually pretty happy that things are going as well as they are.

They just started boarding the flight so we look pretty good for that 8:45p departure. Time to wrap it up and go fly.

MDW is equally as bad tonights, with varying delays. Luckily I've got a great seat in the Illinois Grill sipping brew and working.

Ugh...we just spent the last 2 hours doing the layout for our Save the Date magnets. What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday!

Happy Birthday. ^

In other news, I'm about to PM Scott and plea that CO takes my Acela BP's (7 months old) that I mailed in for credit so I can reach Plat without having to do any funny business.

I've sunk to a new low. :o

Observations for the day/night:

- The DoD did not test Gore-Tex in Giants Stadium. For some reason it doesn't work there...I pulled out my old insulated combat boots and they were infintely better than sneakers.
- I had no idea it was physically possible to be rained on from three different directions at any one time.
- I saw college football hydroplaning yesterday, and the pros tonight.
- If I hear the Jets chant one more time in the next 10 or so years, it will be more than enough. I didn't think a football chant could be worse than that of the Eagles.

Night, Box. I'm off to try and reraise my core temperature.

ETA: Oops. Forgot briefly. Happy birthday, Steve.

Happy birthday, Steve!

I can't believe the way AA operates. They pulled a reserve crew and spare plane out to make up my flight as the original plane was running 3 hours late. Good thing, right? Apparently not when the crew they pull in is over on their hours. So f'ing ridiculous. I have no idea if or when we'll take off tonight.

Happy birfday to sdm1130. ^

In other news, it went from clear sunny day to dense fog with less than an 1/8th of a mile visibility in less than an hour tonight. Makes for fun times flying into (or out of) SAN.
