There's not a whole heckuva lot in Saskatoon. They do have quite the "graveyard" of F28s at the airport, though.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and a Happy B-Day to baglady.

Most importantly, though - the dessert tonight included pumpkin cheesecake. If you haven't had it before - you don't know what you're missing. Run out and get some now!!

I love pumpkin pie.

Good news! We are coming to the DO. I got approval today after a ton of lobbying :).

We had 2 different pumpkin pies tonight, and an apple pie. There were only 4 of us at dinner. All were very good.

My problem with pumpkin cheesecake the one time I had it was that it wasn't really pumpkin-y or cheesecake-y. Not bad, but a weak excuse for either one. My wife mentioned a version that is layered rather than a blend that actually sounds really good to me, though I'll have to actually taste it to know for sure. The one really good thing about the pumpkin cheesecake the time I had it was the bourbon whipped cream topping. Yum.

If you find it, be sure to bring some to the DO! We could all use a break from Chelsea's version, even though it's not half-horrible.

The one we had tonight was blended.. But still very good. Kinda pumpkiny, with an extra layer of cream and a chocolaty-ginger crust.

The apple pie wasn't bad either...

Fiancee (at my suggestion) did something different for her family's dinner: Morton's Key Lime Pie. ^^^^^^^ Huge hit.

Now back to the real world: interviews tomorrow and Wednesday. No shopping for me; you gotta be nuts to get up that early.

Getting up to go shopping??? Pfft.. That's SO 20th century. What a quaint ritual. Bargain-shopping is what Slickdeals is for. Don't even have to wait for Friday. Buy a GPS tonight, get up and go diving instead of shopping tomorrow :)
