Is that 35k EQM? You could almost requal for Gold with that routing alone.

I find both the build-up and the annoyance with the build-up amusing.
In any event, there will be enough hotel rooms for everyone and plenty of flights with low fare buckets available on that weekend, as we are more than three months out (and the economy is in the toilet). Also, at the last Do, my flights and hotel were cheaper without the Do discount codes. |

Yes. 35K EQM. If you're already past the 55K EQM threshold, you would earn 78,750 RDM for that routing (including 25% Gold Bonus). That's 1.7cpm, which would almost make torturing yourself on US for ~12,000BIS worth it.

I just got my BD Gold package the other day and want to requal with as little flying as possible, so I've started to look at such Q-up's. 4 cents/EQM or below is the target.

If you count the positioning to ANC, Gold would be a given from almost anywhere...unless you position via non-*A.
I used a cert for my air and a combo of a BMG cert and points for hotel. As far as flight and lodging, I'm hoping to take a bump to the later PHL flight and come out of the trip with a net positive. |

In playing around with the US site, I can get the outbound segment ANC-GCM to price out properly, but am having difficulty getting the return to do so. I was also able to find ANC-PHX-DCA-CLT-GCM routings, which would kick total earnings to ~36,000EQM. I'm still not sure I would spend 50+ Hours of BIS & Connections on US to do it, even in F.

(Although I have not looked into this fare,) you might be able to start it in GCM.

It seems not too many people are flying today for Turkey day. Out of curiosity I just check the EWR parking situation and was not expecting to hear "Parking is currently available in all lots." A normal weekday that's a rare thing to hear at this time of the day.

I just did OLCI for my flight tomorrow and took a look for the first time at the confirmed standby option that is now available during OLCI. It really is nice - it displays all available flights available for confirmed standby as of the time you are doing OLCI and allows you to view the seat maps before selecting a flight.
