About five years ago I stumbled on to a "Big Bird" festival outside of Fort Collins, CO. (Large radio controlled airplanes) I thought some of 'em were almost big enough to take a ride on. Cool way to spend a day.

I just booked another trip for ATL, leaving Wednesday. I don't mind, except for the god awful rates to rent a car at ATL. Some of the highest rates I've seen anywhere in the nation. If I remember correctly, I paid less in DUB than I normally do in ATL.

But not this time.

This time there is a special. $108 all in from Enterprise, I got me a hoss cargo van. I'm married now so I don't need to worry about picking up chicks, but I'm sure I could haul a bunch of heroin or something.

My ATL car rental when I went down for the hockey game was a comp from Hertz, and it's a good thing too...I wouldn't have paid old Iraqi dinars for that $hitheap.

I'd pay a billion Zimbabwe dollars :)

I just added my flights from this weekend and realized I forgot to get the tail number off the airplane's on Saturday. How do I go back and look that up?

I think I may have figured out what the four NW jets were doing at the cargo area.

I noticed a World Airways jet parked there on my drive home and think the NW jets maybe are used for troop carriers. Thoughts?

Probably, I was at GRK yesterday and a World MD11 came in and went to the military terminal, and a new load of troops went out(others came in).

Morning box! Another snowy morning here.

Beginning my 48 hour media blackout now. I think I'll catch up on iTunes downloads or something :)

It might be a marketing trip as well - teams usually only use one plane.

MBM3 - I had my first dinner at Fahrenheit on Saturday night before we went to see FrostNixon at the Playhouse.

Dinner was awesome - and we'll definitely go back when we have more time to enjoy the experience.

I will check after morning coffee. Things are proceeding very slowly this morning. I got 18 hours of sleep yesterday, and I still don't think it was quite enough to recover.

I am glad you enjoyed - it is a great place for fine dining as well as a quick stop at the bar for a pizza and beer.

I will pass on your kind words to Rocco.
