:eek:Does that mean the end of soccer season? Hope he's ok.

Weather currently in SFO is a nice 70, which it's been all week.

Bummer. That sucks. ;)

Just came back from the orthopod: he thinks he might have a torn meniscus but isn't sure so it's off to get an MRI. My son doesn't really care about the high school soccer season, he's more concerned with his club soccer season.

We'll know more next week after the MRI.

Torn meniscii stink and vary in craptasticness from limping to surgery. MRI will tell the ortho what they need to know without a doubt. I've torn the right side twice, but neither were bad enough for a surgical fix. All the best for your son - knee injuries suck.

Wednesday at 10:45am. It's an open MRI. Doctor followup visit on Friday.

The Dr. seemed to think that it wasn't too bad because when he played around with his knee, he didn't cause my son to scream. But he does believe that it's torn because of the symptoms. So it'll either be rest or 4 weeks on crutches.

GL to your son. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Good luck on your son's knee, sfogate. I tore mine a couple years back and it sucked but it was mild enough a tear that the treatment was to rest and no more wakeboarding for a while. And I completely understand club season being more important than school season.

On the train from LUX to BRU now. Very entertaining night in the hostel last night, complete with a large Finnish man falling out of the top bunk drunk at 5am. That was entertaining.

Morning Box, or Afternoon to a large bunch of you today.
My thermometer says it's -1 F outside

sfogate, I hope all turns out well with your son.

My knees are the same from soccer, "touch" football, skiing, biking and the like. Damaged, but not enough to put cadaver parts in me.

I swore off hostels when I graduate from college. Only time I've ever punched someone (seriously) was in a hostel in NZ.

Good luck with your son's MRI sfogate.

I have a copy of the "highlights" of the incident command transcript from the US accident on the Hudson. If anyone's interested I can post it.

I figure I'd rather bury it here then chum the water in the US forum.

New video posted of the water landing/crash is out.

I never experienced a hostel until this past summer's soccer trip. Needless to say it was an experience! The only nice thing I can say about staying in one was that we had internet access and a computer for our use, plus it was cheap. None of us had to experience unknown roommates, thank god, but we did have to room with one another. My roommate was nice enough to ditch me after the first night. :p it seems I snore.

Thanks for the good wishes for my son's knee injury. The doctor doesn't think it's too bad of a tear.

The weather today is sunny and warm, temps in the low 70's. Don't you wish you were in SFO today?

Do you have anything to do with this slash landing?
