Last night was very quiet up by me. I was scanning PD and they didn't have anything of note either. I actually ended the shift at midnight with a big fast goose egg. That's rare.

Regarding the DO, I suppose put me down as tentative. I won't be able to commit until January when I figure out what's going on with whatever project I'm supposed to be working on, but will get pulled off of, because something else comes up.

Hey! That sounds like my job!

It'd be great to have you there - hopefully you can register for the Do and catch a last-minute rez.

Ok, after some inventive epiphanies laying awake last night, I found F reward availability from LAS. I can catch a quick and cheap WN flight and use MR points to stay at a Fairfield Inn overnight in LAS to make my early flight into IAH on CO. I think I'm ready to pull the trigger. :D

While I will have a car, my flight back to LAS leaves at 11:30AM on Sunday. What are the details on the brunch? I'd like to go of course, but may not be able to since brunch is usually getting started about 11:30.

I'd love to read this trip report. US Q-UP for $1376.00 - Routing:

ANC-PHX-LAS-CLT-GCM-CLT-LAS-PHX-ANC

~35,000 BD Miles at 3.9cpm.

I'm re-reading some of the post over on the DO pages and some of these people seem like they are no fun not liking the build-up.

That would be me. I totally understand the motive for building excitement, but I don't get why the dates had to be withheld for so long. I'm a budget-conscious non-biz traveler, so waiting too long may have priced me out of attendance.

I think the difference between you and them is that they seem to typically favor other airlines. I have the feeling something with the hotels is causing the delay or trying to get the computers to make the EWR ticket prices normal before releasing the codes. But yes, it would be nice to know things for certain.

Just realized that my IAH-MSP flight tomorrow is operated by Mesaba. That will be a new carrier for me. ^

I just bought my first woot item. A queen aero bed ~$55. Im not sure if I got the best deal in the world because I dont know the difference in the types of bed aero bed offers but I did buy a twin from Bed Bath & Beyond a few months ago for $99.99.

Trigger pulled! Covering four different cities, three different airlines, and three different time zones, I am coming to the DO. Also, I found a 4:30PM flight out of IAH on Sunday so I can make it to the brunch. I will have a car and can give rides to whomever needs one.

Now to find a hotel...

ConciergeMike Nov 26, 2008 8:34 am

I wonder when the hotel and flight threads are going to start.

Is that 35k EQM? You could almost requal for Gold with that routing alone.
