I just got my BD Gold package the other day and want to requal with as little flying as possible, so I've started to look at such Q-up's. 4 cents/EQM or below is the target.
I am taking more than a casual look at the LH holiday biz special to the EU. $1500 all-in from NYC-FRA could be fun! I too will keep my eyes open for domestic fun runs. Plus, shouldnt my one way ticket from ORD on Sunday night count for something? :) |
Add me in for a brunch as well. I will take an afternoon flight back to the great white north.

It seems not too many people are flying today for Turkey day. Out of curiosity I just check the EWR parking situation and was not expecting to hear "Parking is currently available in all lots." A normal weekday that's a rare thing to hear at this time of the day.

From the size of things, I'll definitely need to make reservations somewhere.

I am ashamed to admit I just purchased a ticket on Southwest. $150 one way to Midway on Saturday at a perfect time beats a connection on DL or $450 round trip on CO to ORD.
United on the way home Sunday night should be interesting given the inability to give seat assignments. I guess we will see what *A Gold does for me, or maybe I just accept the bump.... |

This has been a very different Thanksgiving. I worked from Sunday night thru Tuesday night and the flights were full but not overbooked. Hardly any families traveling to/from SFO.
This has been the first Thanksgiving that it has been slow and relaxing to work. |

This has been the first Thanksgiving that it has been slow and relaxing to work. I do hope it stays sane for all of you and your team. :) |
On the noon news, all is peaceful at PHL and LGA. First time ever. The AA check-in area at LGA looked empty. They said the same thing as SFOGate. Planes near ful but a lack of families. They (airport people) are hopeful it will be this way on Sunday.

Just heard on the radio that BOS is wide open as well. No delays to speak of, plenty of parking, little traffic in or out of the airport... Feels weird to be hearing this from all around the country on the afternoon before Thanksgiving.

If I can get my work gig to get me over to GCM at some point (I may have to decline a trip to BDA due to scheduling issues ) then I'd do this. Yes, it would suck to spend that much time in US F, but the miles are pretty insane, as is the trip in general. Alas, I doubt that I'll be able to get the one worked out to make the other one work before the fare disappears.
If you do that US MR, please, please, please write a Trip Report. That would be some seriously funny stuff. :D |
You got to love the news people. A spot about how empty EWR is today. Well the international airlines check-in area is normally empty late mornings in Terminal B. Strange they didn't show the NW or DL check in areas but one person said they were running late and checked in with no wait.

Happy Thanksgiving bump for the box.
Seacrest, out. |
