I am surrounded by people in cammo-hunting-gear who reek of dead fish. This should be an interesting flight. I hope NW 752s come with a stink-shield.

I'm still stuck in STL. I've been trying to get out of here for about 4 hours now. Apparently we should have made it on an earlier flight but the AAdmiral's club AAgent did something strange so it didn't happen. Now we're within the range of number of open seats for the standby list but I'm trying to remain a bit cautious on that. All the flights from STL to either NYC or ORD are delayed today. I really hope I make it home eventually tonight.

There are so many things wrong with that.

First, the average NW 752 needs a stink shield not for the lav or the crap the people bring on board, but the plane itself. Last one I was on reeked of dirt and mold. After flying MSP-SEA on that thing, my partner met me in SEA and said "You smell awful." It was the plane's odor that had infused itself into my clothes.

As for the fish, that reminds me of a couple of guys bringing on board several dead pheasants they had shot in plastic grocery bags on a NW DC-9 MSP-IAH flight right before Christmas a couple of years ago. They weren't even iced down or anything. They just stuck them in an overhead bin, which resulted in bird goo getting on other peoples' bags. Fortunately they were in Y, and I was in F.

The nasty weather that was in ATL overnight has been moving north along the East Coast. You're probably dealing with some of the same mess I dealt with last night in CLT and ATL.

I'm sure the weather in NYC is part of the problem, but we're also dealing with ORD troubles since we're booked on a connecting flight. We didn't make the standby and our actual flight is delayed an hour. The "good news" is that our connection is delayed even more.

As for the dead animals on a plane thing, coming out of ANC the guy a couple rows behind us was talking to his buddy on a cell phone, saying something to the effect of "I've got the antlers up here in the overhead but I have no idea where the body is.". That was entertaining.

I was on a NW 753 (MSP-LAX), and one passenger had a nut allergy. That caused chaos panic and disorder among the FAs regarding food service.

Looks like I get to enjoy my first ride in Y on a CR9. At least I snagged the exit row. Also, there is no customs pre-clearance from YXE. Youbetcha. Also. (Sorry, couldn't resist. Life up in the 'Skatch has gotten to me).

I'll be in the office for 90 minutes tomorrow before heading to HPN. It'll be a nice transition back to "working." ;)

Doing a list check... Have I left anyone off of the list that needs to be added?
