Happy B-Day SDM1130!

November is the month for B-Days!

I just booked several one-way tickets to make sure I get gold with CO for next year. This should make for a fun 2 days! I was going for 2 full days behind security but my iah-las tickets went up $400!

These are the reasons why I dislike the term. I call it a meet. I'll take any other term other than DO. When I think of "DO," I think of what my daughter does in her diapers.

- The DoD did not test Gore-Tex in Giants Stadium. For some reason it doesn't work there...I pulled out my old insulated combat boots and they were infintely better than sneakers.
- I had no idea it was physically possible to be rained on from three different directions at any one time.
- I saw college football hydroplaning yesterday, and the pros tonight.
- If I hear the Jets chant one more time in the next 10 or so years, it will be more than enough. I didn't think a football chant could be worse than that of the Eagles.

Night, Box. I'm off to try and reraise my core temperature.

ETA: Oops. Forgot briefly. Happy birthday, Steve.

At the very least, the Denver Broncos made the Jets fans shut up by routing the Jets.^ Of all the teams in the NFL, I hate the Jets and their fans the most. They are almost as bad as Eagles fans. Didn't the Jets have a problem with female nudity at their home games at the beginning of the season? Something about getting women to "show their puppies?"

Ugh...we just spent the last 2 hours doing the layout for our Save the Date magnets. What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday!

Happy birthday sdm! It's still 11/30 here in Houston for a few more minutes.

Finally landed at EWR. Nothing quite like the 4 hour delay to end thanksgiving weekend travel. I say it every year and I'll say it again now: Never Again. Of course, I know I'll have to go back on my word next year, but it is nice to pretend.

I thought I'd never be inside EWR at 2:15 AM on an arriving flight. I was one of the lucky people with only a 2 hour delay. Between gate C84 and security I noticed about 20 people camping out. The line for taxis at Terminal C must have been a couple hours long. The bus to lot P6 was full of US passengers when it pulled in so it was a long night all around.

A happy belated birthday sdm1130.

In other news, it went from clear sunny day to dense fog with less than an 1/8th of a mile visibility in less than an hour tonight. Makes for fun times flying into (or out of) SAN.

I was down there and it was quite interesting. Amazingly, the fog lasted all the way up to LAX. LAX is covered in fog, though it sounds like ops are still happening.

Amazingly UA did a fabulous job today. Flew back from NRT via SFO and the airports were amazingly dead.

I was so bummed, couldn't even find a reason for a Skykit. :(

Has anyone been to Seoul and have a good time? Having spent three days there last week i was very disappointed. The weather didn't help, but it seemed like a pretty dead town. The company I was with could also be to blame, but I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

sdm1130 unfortunately I never made it to the W to check it out. I ended up staying at the JW since I had a really nice $124/night rate. :)

No problem. I think I am going to stick with my reservation at the Park Hyatt. Although, I've read that the location of the PH is not the best either. The hotel itself looks very modern though.

I've read that Seoul is a little on the boring side, so I'm not expecting a whole lot out. I decided on a stop over there just to give us some time to rest after arriving in that side of the world. We're only in Seoul for 2 days.

The taxi line at terminal A was insane, too. My car service took 20 minutes to get around the loop to pick us up but only 25 to my door in Manhattan, which isn't bad.

Now I just have to make it through the day without falling asleep at the switch and I should be OK.

Happy Monday morning! I'm 50% through my work day and it's only 9:15.

This morning I've proceeded to not understand a colleague from the CZ, asked a new employee to help me out with the most banal task in existence (and they were excited to!), and I received an EUA notification on a flight that I purchased less than 12 hours ago.

winner winner, chicken dinner.

The day can only go downhill from here. And I'm sure 2.5 hours on a DL CRJ will take care of that.

I have a client who I asked a few months ago if they wanted to renew their e-commerce site's SSL certificate. They decided to reply the day before Thanksgiving, asking me how much it would cost

So today I am dealing with a broken certificate and site.

 - I don't recall reading anything like that, but if true, I saw no suitable candidates...there was one woman in her 20's wearing tall boots and jeans, and I have no idea how she survived the game, because the jeans were so tight that you could certainly tell that there was no under layer to fight the cold.

In other news, I have to chase down the last of my recommendation letters and do final prep for Wednesday.
