Still considering this SFO-LIM fare... As rolov posted in the MR forum, adding an EWR-SFO RT only increases the fare a couple hundred bucks. $850 a/i for close to 18k EQMs.

What dates? I suppose I could split that off from my DO trip and fly each one separately rather that doing LIM as part of the DO.

CM & The DO FlightMemory inspired me to create a Box FlightMemory for 2009. The rules:

1. Enter any flight you take in 2009 (regardless of whether it is CO, SkyTeam, or not)
2. Input flights only *after* you have actually taken the flight
3. In the interests of standardizing equipment types, please notate type/sub-type fully (i.e., 737-800 instead of 737).

Here are the login/password details:

User Name: BoxFlights2009
Password: Vandalay ;)

Will be interesting to track the travels of Box Members across 2009.

Feature idea for my project... Groups.

Thoughts?

I do like this and will definitely use it.

I'm just playing with 1/23-1/26 right now.

I'm doing it 3/13 outbound, 3/15 return (gets back to SFO on 3/16).

I think that OpenFlights is a better tool for this. It would let us track who is taking which flight by using the "trips" feature. But that's just my opinion.

I guess we could do both. I'm not as big a fan of the OpenFlights Visual Layout. It's nice that it is a more zoomable map, but the zoomed-out world-map looks really cluttered (when compared to FM) when filled up with lots of flights. I think it's because the dots for airports are so huge.

That would play in to the social networking crazy nicely...

I have a whopping four segments that I'm bringing to that table so far. The Do and the Christmas trip are the only for-sure 2009 travel I have set up...although my mother is talking about doing another Devils road game since she so enjoyed the first one. She's even talking about doing it the exact same and going back to ATL if the NHL schedule permits.

Glad to know I can be an inspiration. :D ^

I can't believe I just watched Kathie-Lee. They just spent 5 minutes putting the airlines through the wringer on their fees (they sort of hinted that it was CO too) Did you know that 78% of Americans think checked bag fees are a rip-off?

Sure, but you can zoom in and clear the clutter. On the FM map you're stuck with a big red blob of lines and an bunch of letters that you can't read. I don't think it scales up well for heavy travelers. Plus, the filtering options aren't as good.

Yeah, but it's horribly slow and is known to crash browsers.

I might be able to do the January option. In March I'll only be Silver so I need to try to front-load my flights for the bonus miles.

Then again, I got an email yesterday about possibly picking up some additional work, so January might not be as travel-ready as I want it to be. Who knows.

Kathie Lee = blech. That she still has a job speaks volumes about America's average IQ.

I've had some troubles with IE but zero problems with FF3. And I guess that the initial loading slowness is the price paid for actually having so much more data in the maps. I'm OK with that.

The moment they stopped talking about the airlines she quickly got on my nerves and back over to CNBC. (rather watch cash in the attic but I don't have a box on this TV in the computer room)

Mrs. Gifford is not too bad when the TV is on mute...
