Is there any way to search KQ award availability, other than calling?

Anyone here know what the current reigning deal is for the SPG AmEx? I am finally going to be not so lazy and make the switch and I figure I may as well get the most bonus points I can. I have a 10K promo paper but I'm hoping there is something else better out there.

FT has a 25K banner ad floating around.

I get that a lot too. My current problem is convincing her that there is value of time spent someplace that I have been that she has not. She'd rather have both of us go someplace new and see that together. I, however, am of the school of thought that my previous visits to someplace make it easier to have fun and do the trip right. I'll caveat that if enough research is done, I can be sold on someplace new. The last thing I want to become is like one wing of her family that ONLY goes to the same place every year. I never understood that.

But I don't have ads on my FT. I guess I could log out and see if it shows up on this page.

I get this as well.

What's funny is that she doesn't care about the work travel, which is where I "experience" most new places, whereas MRs are usually spent in an airport.

It's a female thing. She wants your only memories to be filled with her, not what you did the last time vs this time.

Ahhh. I've seen it in SPG, AmEx, and a few other places.

I just found the thread in the SPG forum. I it is 10K + 15K with $15K spend in 6 months. I know I'm not going to get that spend. Bummer.

That's a very valid point. But I never traveled extensively in other relationships. The memories of previous trips can also be used to improve the trips she takes. She also has come out and said that she wants little to nothing to do with planning trips. Her two concern points are prices and flight times, and everything else is largely mine to do.

ETA: I forgot to say that she does indeed care about the destination. But that's a fine line, as there is a degree of geographical challenge to be overcome. She shot down the cheap PTY fares initially because the lack of a beach ()...I'm still trying to get the message thru that one can lay on a beach anywhere, including, um, where we live.

FYI - I have changed the User Name:

User Name: BoxMemory
Password: Vandalay

I forgot you could set filtering to view flights by individual year when logged in. Might as well just call it BoxMemory, then, so it can be used for future years, as well.

Some of you may not have know that it is possible to change your user name in FlightMemory from the Profile Section. Good to know, in case your handle reveals too much personal info and you wish to change it so you can publish your stats...

One idea — when we're posting flights on there, might I suggest that we all put our user name in the comments field, so that we can see who posted what?

I did a photo safari in ZA - it was by far the best experience of our lives. I can send you details if you'd like - it was a 5-star experience all the way around.

Sure, thanks - PM over what you can. It's not in the calendar or budget to go anytime soon, but I'm always looking.

Good call. sbm12 is right in that OF makes it easier to differentiate flights between people, but that's not enough to sell me on switching.
