There should be plenty of time to network with people of various fields. I wouldn't be surprised at all if people have found a job that they got directly or indirectly from attending a past DO.

Sorry to hear about that. It sucks, I know.

Hmmm, in the context of a DO, I suspect that term means "get silly-drunk"

Getting Drunk in First Class

Do any of the people coming down from up north for the party flight want to get breakfast that day?

Now to see if COFan will be joining us.

I would if I have any time. The Bolt Bus arrives at 30th & Market at 9:30 and I need to get myself down to PHL from there.

I agree with others, it's time to drink-might make that retina scan better

This is minimal compared to what one does to obtain a federal security clearance.

Not too many people got drunk last time. There was some serious networking going on.

How to Make Bacon-Infused Bourbon

Why would you want to put bacon in your bourbon? If you have to ask, this isn’t the post for you

How enjoyable.

Even better, Pinnacle CR2s and Saabs. Now, that's not just enjoyable, it's Awesome™

Actually, most FT events are good networking opportunities as most of us are successful professionals. But there is a valid point that networking should happen earlier in the evening rather than later as most FTers get pretty over served! :)

I might suggest making or getting some personal business cards to distribute if you meet anyone in your field.

Someday, God willing. For now, I content myself with the knowledge that I have been in University/Law School since 1998, have more degrees than I can shake a stick at, and am earning less than I did when I managed a Radioshack, before I even earned my B.A.

This look cool to everyone?

I will be traveling with a silver who will most likely become my gold companion if that matters.

No kidding. I went through this process when gaining access to Wright-Patterson AFB and it was unreal. Unfortunately the investigators deemed me a risk as I had been unemployed and had debt.

IMO, it's preferable to the nonstop IAH-MLU on the Colgan Air Saab. I'll get a new line on the FlightMemory (MEM-MLU), and an opportunity to grab some BBQ at MEM. ^
