What is it about this marriage thing that appears to curtail perfectly rational plans by we men?

Nope. They don't have enough of the US market share to be required to report their statistics there. ExpressJet only grew big enough to have to start reporting their data around 2002.

Muchas gracias. I know some people in marketing at ACY; they might be able to put me in touch with someone at NK that could help me. I've been on CHQ IIRC three or four times and CoCo twice. Flew MCO-FLL on a CO 9000-series flight number. Doubtful that that would be in there too.

Women employ the largest weapon of mass destruction known to man. They can destroy anything.

Chautauqua won't be able to help you with a 9000 flight number, since that's a Continental Connection flight.

LOL. We don't have that problem in my household.

Yeah...

When I got suckered into it, the whole set-up process was ridiculous. I work about 10 minutes from the White Plains airport, which has a clear line. So one day, after doing the online component I shoot over to the aeropuerto and there was no one staffing the clear lines.

So, I went back at another time a few days later and the person they had didn't know how to enroll people.

so, I went back another time and then their processing machine was down.

By this point I became determined, so I decided to try it at EWR. But that's only in Terminal B and it wasn't open in time for my early a.m. flight.

Finally, on the 5th time's the charm, I finally got registered. And signing up has been the best part of my Clear membership.

And, for what? I've used it twice and it has saved me a grand total of about 3 seconds. At DCA last week using the clear line would have been longer than using the regular one (Clear is just an extra step).

Bah. There was an interesting article in today's WaPost about how the TSA has killed businesses like Clear. (surprise, surprise). If they were public I'd short them, even if they were a penny stock. Of their 250k customers probably 200k get it for free (through affiliate marketing) and I don't know one person who will renew.

I never have understood the point of Clear. At many airports, like DCA, DEN (Terminal A if you walk there instead of taking the train) and SJC, for example, the Clear line just dumps into the elite screening line, so it just replaces one step with another step and you still end up in line behind people.

It's freezing (I think the high was 6 today) but the highlight will be a shopping spree to Nebraska Furniture Mart and for those of you who get to OMA and don't go to NFM, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. I took MR BL and he kept saying it's just a furniture store and I said you don't understand - he went to the electronics store and was a very happy man.

Is it worth it to purchase furniture in Nebraska and to incur the charges for shipping back to Houston, as opposed to purchasing something slightly more expensive in Houston and only dealing with local shipping?

It is the only premium lane , I was told to use it by another FTer and you skip the line .

CLEAR is great in ATL....

They took the old elite line, now the elites get their own area away from the unwashed masses line.

GO CLEAR!!!

ssullivan Dec 17, 2008 2:14 pm

For those of you with Clear, is it the case everywhere that after the Clear people check your ID and do the fingerprint/iris scan and confirm your identity, that you still have to have your ID checked by the TSA? That's what's happened at the Clear airports I've seen, which to me, makes Clear completely pointless.
