I've been jonesing to do something, just the two of us, over a weekend. Get away and just relax. I was really pulling for the TPA/SXM e-savers but I guess she can't take off Monday. Poop.

I found cheap flights to MSY (she's never been) coming home Sunday night and because it's winter the hotels are, of course, pretty cheap.

I asked her if she wanted to go and she hesitated. "It seems like an awful long way to go for only 1.5 days."

You have to start using some of us as examples,
tell her next week that rolov and his gf are flying to LAS on friday , doing a grand canyon day tour on sat and flying home sunday .
Your trip to MSY would be like going to the mall .

... honey, it could be worse. I could ask you to fly on a Soviet-era rust-bucket with me.

I like it!

rkkwan good luck and hope to see you back soon.

belynch perhaps you need to explain to her the concept of "weekend getaways". Or better yet, take her on one of the insane Mileage Runs and a trip to MSY will look like a walk in the park. It's all a matter of perspective.

In other interesting news, they announced we got ATC'ed for 90mins at SFO this morning. A few mins later, the SFO ground supervisor came on board and somehow negotiated down to 30 mins. Amazingly we only got to the gate 8 minutes late.

I dragged someone from the frozen land up north to LAS the other week for a Friday to Sunday thing. Would she have done MSY? I Don't know as she's already been there.

I've left EWR on a Thursday night to go to London and was back in my house by 4 PM on Sunday. I know I'm not the only one who's done that.

That was one of the compelling reasons for me to move back east. Attempting to do a weekend in Europe from the west coast just didn't work.

I realized I never followed-up yesterday on the DL/Africa thing. I never saw that press release and didn't realize they were doing yet another expansion into Africa. The 767 flights I was thinking of were the JFL/ATL-DKK-CPT/JNB.

Does anyone know if CO has given up on the three hour EUA dump? I have a flight at 8:30pm tonight, #2 on the list and there are six seats. The three hour mark has come and the list hasn't moved. Before I start a new thread, i was wondering since i may have missed something.

I've had some recent +3 hour EUAs, so it would be news to me if they stopped running it at that time.

My EWR-IAH 762 flight on Wednesday is down to 3 up front so my chances are getting smaller and smaller. CO is offering mileage upgrades too.

laid off from second job--eff this, I am moving to Dallas.

Well that's good to know that it still exists.

I wonder if I broke EUA. Wouldn't be the first time. :(

Ad-free FT is a wonderful thing.

Second best $12 I've spent on the Internet to date.

Yikes! I am so sorry. But why Dallas? Why not the good part of Texas?
