Learn to love the "My FlyerTalk" functionality. I'm subscribed to ~10-12 fora, and when I go to My FlyerTalk I see just those. Super fast navigation.

I use My FT for threads, but not fora. You see links to forums instead of direct links to threads?

I'd just like to express my  with the new FT interface. How did the rest of y'all make it to the forum? I had to go into my History tab to get here, as you can no longer click through from the Miles & Points tab.

What new interface? I just came in here like I always do. I have my MyFlyerTalk page bookmarked and clicked that. So far everything looks the same to me.

Wow, the upgrade waitlist for 1049 this morning is insane. 55 people and counting.

A friend of mine flew IAH-PDX this past Monday morning and the waitlist was well into the 60s on that one when the flight closed. He was about number 25 as a Gold on an H fare.

Yep. You can subscribe to a forum the same way you can subscribe to a thread.

I've used the My FT page for years now. It's the only way to quickly get into this site IMO. And it always works. Just bookmark that and you're always good to go with a convenient list of your favorite threads and forums.

You missed out on a prolonged period of Teh Suck. FT is running nominally now, as far as I can tell.

First pictures of the newly painted NW 744 in DL colors.

Looking good. I hope they do something with the interior too. Of course, given the crappy state of many of DL's aircraft interiors, even the ones they've supposedly redone (e.g., new seat covers and carpet and fake wood lav floors and nothing more) I wouldn't hold my breath. $10 says inside it's still NW, vintage 1990, with a few new WBC seats thrown in as an enhancement.

The "Mark this forum read" is still not working. I use that feature a lot.

Ah, that would have been while I was dealing with the sixth circle of traffic hell that is the Dallas North Tollway during AM rush. I barely made my DAL-IAH flight, but I made it.

Flying over Texas today is perfect. Beautiful clear skies and light winds, so no bumps along the way.

Grrrr. Every time I try to post, the 'reply to thread' box is populated with the post I replied to this morning instead of the one I'm trying to quote.

In other news, ice is melting and cookies are in the oven.:)

Hey guys... I haven't been here much lately, but I know many of you personally, so want to let you know that I'm scheduled for coronary bypass surgery today. Yup, very rare to have to do it this young, but there's always the outlier right? :p

Anyways, my sister's here in L.A. with me, and I'm getting real good care at the UCLA Medical Center. Brand new hospital too, with a nice view from my room. Don't have a camera, or I'll start a thread on the Photography forum. :D

So, I may not come here for a couple of days, but I'll go back online as soon as I can.

Ha, I know some of you postwhores will use my "unfortunate condition" to increase your post counts. :p:D:p:D Just don't overdo it. Wahahahahaa.... :)

Best of luck for a successful surgery and a quick, healthy recovery! Always remember, on a scale of 1-10 its hurts like 11!!!
