That's a JFK service that matches schedule-wise with another DKR tech stop flight. I don't remember the details fully, but I did see it on FT.

For the useless knowledge file: the FAs on my DL shuttle the other day were talking about this route. Apparently they leave the flight and overnight in DKR and then continue to JNB the next day, where they get to spend 3 days before returning.

Apparently they loved JNB but the overnight in DKR wasn't "worth it" for them. I guess it's pretty rough.

I also overheard that they enjoyed working the Shuttle flights as they were very low stress and they always got to go home at the end of the day. All of them were very senior, so I guess working the Shuttle is a coveted spot when they're not bidding int'l.

CM, tell us how you really feel about the deicing situation at IAH :D

Ssullivan, you were so right on the deicing. We had so little of the stuff here that I had no idea how hard N of here would be hit until I saw the news.

But seriously, it was one night of bad stuff. I recall sitting on a flight ATL-IAH that we sat on for four hours after delay after delay after delay for boarding with ZERO drinks passed out in F and I don't recall being as upset as people are. It's Houston. There was ice/snow. I'm amazed there was any deicing equip. at IAH. So I learned something new.

For those LIM-Bound, it looks like the Radisson Hotel Decapolis is one of the top-rated hotels (per TripAdvisor). Most reviews compare it to a Kimpton/Boutique style, and at 1/3 the price of the JW Marriott, it's a steal. Granted, if I had any Marriott status, I'd likely go that route. However, I have Radisson Gold via comp, so I think I'll give it a shot.

For those going to LIM, are you just buying two one-ways to SFO?

I'm not sure on the price of the JW, but it's a wonderful hotel in a great location. Not only is Miraflores across the street, but there's a Tony Roma's and a Hooter's as well.

Something about going to a Tony Roma's or Hooters in LIM sounds downright wrong.

I think i'm going to book EWR-SFO-EWR-LIM-EWR-SFO-EWR tonight for March.

It sounds like QR IAH-DOH flights could be on the horizon.

This has been a planned route for some time but 777 delays have kept it from happening. I guess QR is going to get their deliveries finally.

I see what they're doing to the forums, making as many of the pages static as possible. They must have received November's hosting bill.

As of the end of 2003 I had been a OnePass member for about 25 years, Lifetime PC member, and top tier maybe 20 of those years. In 2004 I took not one CO fight the entire year and never heard a word from them.

Franny had been a CO member for about 20 years and Plat for about the last seven or eight, did zero CO in '04 and she too heard nothing at all from CO.

I see that AF lowered their price on EWR-CDG for my dates by $50 to $1,315 AI. :rolleyes: Will CO follow? :rolleyes:

I received a call from CO (Reward One) yesterday (left a VM) thanking me for my business this year ^. It was a very nice message and was a nice touch.
