And they won the game 1-0.

So he scored the winning goal and has a story to tell! Excellent! I bet the pound puppy from hell was excited!;)

PS. Good morning, Box. Only 12 shopping days till Christmas.

Olton Hall Dec 13, 2008 6:51 am

So that means 10 more days before I start shopping. But it does mean I need to get my annual video done. Off to the city now for that one.

Good Morning, Box!

Lessons learned in the past 14 hours:
  • The banana souffle at Le Zie is phenomenal. It goes extraordinarily well with Zaya rum, which is apparently Guatemalan. Highly recommend both.
  • The AirTrain was packed this morning at EWR.
  • C2 Security line was 10 minutes faster by skipping the Elite line. There was some guy who didn't speak any English and didn't have ID in the elite line. That was funny to me as I walked past.
  • The e-Boarding pass worked great at security but gave me trouble at the PC as the agent checking me in couldn't really read it.
  • The bloody marys at the PC are still one of the best I've had. I love them. ^^
  • The wireless in the PC is slightly better, but really still not great.

Off to ATL now.

- Great job with the Devils DO tonight , everyone had a great time
The vip access was great, and the unlimited open bar was a nice touch
You could not have picked a better game for us to attend
8-5 Devils :D

I saw that and I'm kicking myself. But OTOH and in all seriousness, nobody showed a wink of interest when I said that I was proceeding with buying the tix, and I had asked for people to reconfirm themselves. That led me to think that I would get stuck with tickets, so I pulled the handle and punched out. I wasn't about to eat tickets even if I did still have a job. Apologies to those that were interested, as I don't want the idea getting around to be that I announce stuff and don't execute on it.

I was just messing around with you :D
It worked out for me that it was cancelled , because I had to attend a surprise party.

I knew you were busting my stones, but I wanted to cover myself in case any others didn't see it as such.

Funny you should mention the pound puppy from hell. She was there (with my daughter) and all this dog was interested in was getting petted....she's such a slut.

Afternoon Box.

I have the pleasure of hanging out at a Starbucks in Philly for the next 3.5 hours while the fiancee takes care of some business. I've already counted 3 homeless people hanging out in here - this should be fun...

You could have come Christmas shopping with us had I known you were going to be in the neighborhood.

Last year we went to philly to visit a friend, He lives in Conshohocken.
We went into the city to go out and then somehow lost one of our friends during the night.
He showed up the next morning and told us that the taxi he got in did not want to take him to where he was going because it was too far, so he dropped him off in some random place in philly.
He hung out with some homeless guys because he could not find another cab and they had a fire going . They took him to starbucks in the morning ( thats where they went every morning at 6 am )
He bought them all lattes and muffins and then got on the train back to where we were staying.

If it weren't for the Grey Goose I have, I'd be asking you for a grande non-fat chai.

Wow - that has to be made up... :) Sounds like quite a night!

Triple grande caramel macchiato for me - although a Grey Goose sounds good right now. ^

I'm using my time here to research travel for 2009. LIM does not look like it is going to fit in to my Jan/Feb schedule so that is on hold for now. DUB looks like a definite possibility for late January - especially since the fares dropped again!

This is a new one - a "zero star" hotel...

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...cle2003935.ece

Not for me, but I suppose some super-low-budget travelers might be interested in this idea.
