I will grant you and ssullivan a limited license to use the term, for the right price, of course. ;)

The Sheraton has free internet, at least last when I was there. The Westin gives you 50% off the in-room internet if you're a Plat. The lounge at the Westin was nice and also had free internet. While the Miyako is a nice hotel, it's a bit of a walk from the subway. The Westin was a block away from the subway entrance.

The winds lately have been insane, especially for westbound flights. I've had ATL-IAH flights taking 20-30 minutes longer than usual as a result.
On the other hand, I've had IAH-ATL flights that got me home that much sooner. |
Greetings from the frozen tundra of Iowa.
fozz - I listened to the first 2 episodes of your podcast - nicely done! I found it to be very informative for those of us who do not follow the happening of other airlines/alliances. |

I've usually spent it when buying a ticket that I just wanted to reduce my cash outlay on. I've used as little as $20 and as much as about $175 before. Since there's no difference in mileage earning or EQMs when redeeming Travel Bank funds, I don't really have an issue with using it. Right now I'm at $130, after redeeming the $150 or so I had back in June for us to get to Houston and back for a friend's wedding. I guess if I was able to book all my work travel on CO.com and get more Travel Bank $5 credits, I'd try and save it for a bigger trip, like a discounted first or BusinessFirst ticket someplace. But given that most of my travel can't earn Travel Bank credits, it's just easier for me to use it a few times a year and not worry about saving it for something big.

I've stayed at both the Westin and Sheraton Miyako in Tokyo. Both hotels are nice, though I liked the Westin a bit more.

Will you consider unlimited beers and other alcohol in the PC and at CO DOs for life as an alternative? ;) |

I stayed at two hotels in Tokyo, but they were Japanese brands and I got no points for them. :o Is earning points a requirement? :p
We took the express back to NRT. It's a neat train that they tried to make it look like an airplane on the inside. |
