My trip report for Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
Date: 12/18/2008
Time: 19:45 Location: State Hwy 23, Wayne NJ Upon entering the main entrance I immediately notice there is no elite access line :td: and that I must order my meal with the unwashed masses:eek: . While waiting in the general queue for only about 3-4 minutes ^, I noticed all the print media articles about Five Guys and was impressed ^. It seems as if they are Zagat rated and have had very high ratings from a few major print media outlets. I was called up to the next available screener and I ordered a Cheeseburger with tomato and grilled onions, medium Fries and a medium soft drink. Even though I was extremely thirsty, no need to purchase a large when the refills are free :o. I waited for about 10 minutes for my order number to be called :td:. While I waited I snacked on the free peanuts ^. When my order was called, I claimed my bag of food and proceeded to the nearest available table. I unwrapped my burger, inspected it and it looked nothing like the one featured on the cover of the magazines hanging on the wall :td:. I took my first bite and it was freaking Awesome™ ^. Tasty, flavorful and just delicious. The fries were Awesome™ as well, fresh cut fries ^. How could I have gone for so long without ever trying this place? |
