Thanks! I actually got in on the PBI-IAH-LAX deal last year - it made for a very easy same day turn. Unfortunately, my trips to PBI this time of year tend to only be long weekends (at best), so there is not much time for a MR.

Cool Paint Scheme

Have you seen the contest winner for Paint The Plane? Cool stuff and a great idea in my opinion. Too bad most of us will not get to see it since its on a 734, but neat none the less.

It's a cool scheme!

I'm hoping that I'll get to see it when I do ANC-BRW.

Does anyone have experience working with any IT recruiters/head hunters working in the Houston area? If so, can you PM me some info?

That's a line on my FlightMemory I'd really like to add. In the winter, the temperature at cruising altitude can be warmer than the temperature on the ground in BRW.

I'd like to add it in the summer - not so sure about the winter. ;)

It's on our calendar for very early winter. From what I've read, one day in BRW is more than enough time to see everything.

I do want to spend a single night there though to try and get a view of the Northern Lights.

I have a guy's card at home. I'll send you the info when I get there tonight.

I suppose the northern lights is a good enough reason to go in the winter. I've seen them on a very small scale (in Michigan) and they are pretty incredible!

I saw them localized in a kitchen once when I was waiting for my steamed hams to steam (don't let the grill marks fool you).

Barrow is definitely within the main viewing-band for Auroral viewing. From what I've heard, Yellowknife is one of the best spots for consistent displays in North America. You can check Auroral intensity/forecasts in advance using This Website.

I was treated to a faint display on Halloween night one year in EDI. Some friends and I climbed to the top of Calton Hill to watch the display. I'd really like to see a full-on display. Most of Europe is too far East of Magnetic North to get a decent display. You generally have to go to Northern Norway or Iceland to catch a good show.

You're an odd fellow, but you steam a good ham. ^

Morning, Box.

Paint the Plane's finished artwork is almost as hot as the artist. ^

Time to call Sturm, Ruger & Co. and ask an obscure firearm trivia question, and to make some job calls.
