Ummm. CO is apparently serving lamb with their ravioli now?? Has anyone had this? I'm getting it just for the pasta so we will see what it looks like. I'm scared.

I assume you're flying BusinessFirst, not domestic first?

I should have specified - domestic F on EWR-PBI. That's is why I am so surprised.

Well, prices aren't stellar at the moment. However, I haven't been to BOI (or BUR, for that matter), and perhaps there will be some tastier fares as fall approaches. Fall colors in the mountains of Idaho sounds pretty nice.

I'm still up for at least one such trip this fall though. There's always credit cards. :p

Lamb? In domestic F? To a Florida leisure market? That does sound highly unusual. I don't think I've ever seen CO serving lamb except in BusinessFirst.

Give it a try and report back. What type of soup are they serving it with?

My IAH-PBI flight in F for Friday evening is showing only "snack" as the meal. I hope that means something more than the cold plate.

False alarm. Someone must have been very confused. Turns out its the beef and pasta - no lamb. Thank goodness!

On EWR - PBI a snack always translates to 2 warm options up front. A sandwhich and pasta or salad.

Sorry, my friend, looks like you're out of luck. I assume you're on CO 1830 Friday? This is the pda website shows for that flight today. Cold snack plate it is.

The FT mobile version quotes replies very strangely. Sorry if I am polluting The Box with crazy looking posts! :-)

I'm up for it too. Are we Q-Up'ing on UA or DL for this one? Or nesting them for extra fun?

It is a bug in the rendering of a double-quoted reply in the mobile version. It shows the /QUOTE] or something like that. It doesn't actually screw up the real display.

Snack in F on IAH-ATL always translates to "Salad with chicken or shrimp, roll, crackers and a slice of cheese, fruit bowl, and Pepperidge Farm cookies." Or, if you're flying out of ATL, substitute the Russell Stover Almond Delight candy, since the caterer there still hasn't gotten the message that Continental replaced that particular item with the cookies a while back.

So a transformer blew on the roof of my building today. It filled one of the floors with smoke, shut down the A/C and killed all of the electricity in the common areas.

Needless to say, my office closed and the building was evacuated.

My first attempt at planespotting went fairly well, I think. PHL actually has some nice vantages, and one that can catch a landing aircraft with the skyline if you have the right glass. Notable shots gotten: the rear half of the BA 772, with smoke off the gear, right at touchdown. Also some nice WN, AA, US shots. I can't post them, since I'm at the girlfriend's and on her laptop. Will post and link tomorrow when I'm home.

I'm in lovely West Philadelphia where a man who was using a jackhammer to dig out a water line. He hit an underground power line and... he's not with us anymore.

That's a terrible beat.
