Interesting VX promo. Is this the airline industrie's attempt at taking on speed dating?

Edited. I apparently was playing a Jedi mind-trick on myself

I submit the following link as exhibit A: http://www.chasecreditcards.com/airline-rewards.asp

Granted, Chase's website is probably the worst of any major bank. But... uhm... what gives.

I see the Continental World Mastercard on the right.

HAHA. I swear it wasn't there when I posted the link.

One that really is missing though is the Chase UA Visa.

I think their website is actually really cutting edge, as it employs "magic eye" technology. The thing you're looking for isn't there at first glance. You have to stare at it for a solid 5 minutes before it jumps off the page.

Seriously though, I wonder if CO views their partnership with Chase as a liability. I'm hard pressed to think of a bank that employs more deceitful practices.

As an example, I have an auto loan through Chase (about a year ago I went through a delusional period where I thought I could simplify my life my consolidating things like banks). There's a button on the Chase retail website that says "pay my auto bill" in addition to a hyper link that says "pay my auto bill".

One would think they'd, you know, do the same thing - pay an auto bill.

WRONG. The button, the one that's easy to find, charges you a $10 fee to make a payment. But, when processing this transaction it says on the line item "other fees or charges: $0" (the $10 fee is buried lower on the page). And if you access the pay my auto bill via the link, for some reason you can process a payment for free.

When I notified them of their a$s-hattery they said "whoa, that's a bit goofy, now isn't it." Yet, this idiocy remains to this day.

And, to further frustrate me, if I want to make a principle payment against my loan I have to generate a check from my bank account and mail it to Chase. The best part of this whole tom-foolery is they have this double-secret probation "principle payment only" address, yet the payments never process properly when sent there so I'm always on the phone with these ding dongs having them reverse and repost payments.

ARGH.

And don't even get me started on the Credit Card.:mad::mad:

Only Richard Branson...

For another example of Chase "a$s-hattery", I have a zero percent loan on a Subaru through them. (Might as well instead of paying cash)
If I pay it off early, there's a penalty. You would think they would love the cash to loan out to someone else at ridiculous rates.
Yeah, I know, I know... Subaru pays them to subsidize the loan rate. But they do that up front....

Booooo to PHL, the festering cesspit of NE aviation. The facilities suck, the various baggage claim areas are missing only goats wandering about, as mentioned many employees are rude and not bashful about it, ATC procedures leave much to be desired, they wasted x millions on a runway nobody can now use, entry to the airport is absurd (heading north on I-95 on has to do a GIANT oval 360 to gain entry), anything short of severe clear (and then it is marginal) results in several hour arrival delays, one concourse airside is not connected to all the other concourses, idiotic TSA people (even worse than nationwide average), feh to PHL I say. Crater the runways and I wouldn't miss it at all.

My only fondness to the field is the memories of EA and WQ - a long long time ago.

Put the money you have to pay off the loan into a chase savings account. If they will charge you to pay off early, then charge them for not allowing you to pay it off.
