Last summer, after a round of nocturnal plinking, I noticed a vulture standing in the yard. To those not familiar with the Turkey Vulture (Turkey Buzzard), these things are MASSIVE. Well, a vulture doesn't sit in the yard unless it has reason. Investigation led me to find a coon with a massive festering head thing going on.

Well, time for the 1942 Browning Auto-5. Even the neighboring PETAphiles couldn't argure about this one.

I wish, I wish, I hadn't sat on that fish. :o

And 792 was scheduled to be a 753, not a 764. I wonder what happened. The number of seats are about the same (11 more F and 8 more Y), so it can't have been a capacity issue. And I wonder if a flight to Europe tonight is going out delayed waiting for that one to get back from Florida.

I know i should be happy i was up front and not on a xjet :)
The 764 was returning MCO-EWR and I think was staying put
I could not find any flight it was operating.

He's kinda bald... Why?

Or am I missing a joke?

Sounds like you should be seeing a GI doctor. ;)

I dated an acupuncturist for a while. When we broke up, she called me a prick.

Dilbert reference. Strangely, no image on the wikipedia page. I wonder if they ran into copyright issues with Universal Syndicate on that.

In that case it pretty much describes him to a T.

How was the check-in process at IAH?

My J experience with LH has always been good, wondering what it's like in F... Definitely want pictures of the 744 at IAH. ^ ^

Check in was quick...less than a minute. Wish they had a priority line at the D Terminal, though. No pics of the 744 at IAH, as I didn't have a good angle to shoot it from (it was at Gate 11). I took a head-on shot after landing in FRA, though. So far, have pics of the tiny IAH F/Sen Lounge, E PC, LH F Seat (upright & fully reclined) and Meal service. Checked into the FCT about an hour ago, and have snapped a few pics in here as well. So far, all but the IAH lounge has been fantastic.

LH F may not be the newest F product in the world, but the seat was incredibly comfortable, the food excellent, and the service quite friendly. There were only three of us in F, so I had plenty of space to take some pics, and we received great service (2 FAs for three of us :D). Also, didn't get any weird looks for snapping pics onboard (unlike on some airlines). I attribute it to German familiarity with quirky/obsessive behavior :D

+1

Glad the trip has gone well so far. What kind of car did they use to whisk you over to the FCT?

Glad the trip is going well. How do you like First in the bumble. I had some friends complain saying it was too cramped. (They usually are on SQ, so I took it with a grain of salt).

I have only flown the LH 744, in Y and J. Thought they were great flights, the food in J was very good, but the seat was too narrow and not enough leg room, I thought.

As an aviation photo geek, I love hearing that. Look forward to seeing your pics! ^

I finally decided to jump into the BD game. Since it's a slow morning at work, I did an analysis of just how many BD miles I could get for the remaining portion of this year, just by using them as my Hilton HHonors Double Dip partner. It worked out to a very significant amount, so I decided to open a Diamond Club account. I still have mixed opinions about throwing my UA flight miles into a BD account, since my UA Premier status gets me E+ and the possibility of an upgrade (BTW, tomorrow's UA upgrade cleared when I checked in this morning :D), but just from other sources I could accumulate a very significant BD balance in a short period of time, without actually flying.

So as of June 1, all my Hilton stays are crediting my new BD account with 1,000 miles per night. Until June 1 I'll stick with WN, just because I need those last few credits toward a free ticket with them.

Did you status match to BD or just jump in from scratch?
