I'm out in west central NJ, so midtown for lunch is a big of a haul. :D

In the spirit of asking a CO related question so this thread doesn't get shut down...

The 5% discount for Chase MC users - is that valid for flights booked before your one year anniversary but taken after?

I'm figuring out my summer travel and there's a few trans-cons in the mix that will happen after my 1 year date with the card. The only way I'm able to book directly on CO.com  instead of my corp. agency is because I get the 5% discount...

Anyone know how it works?

As long as you book and pay for the tickets before your 1 year date is up, then you get the 5% discount. ^

I came across this at a.net: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untit...ext_id=1339139

And it reminded me of the discussion about CO or DL picking up the 764s that the U.S. military didn't want.

I wonder if that's still a possibility.

At the bar there are other people, service generally is way better, one fits right in as a 'single', etc. I have become so used to it that when at home and with family we usually head to the bar and bypass the tables, depending on the establishment of course.

I'm definitely a bar eater these days, too. Actually, when I am on the road I'll only eat at a bar. If a restaurant doesn't have one I don't eat there. Having a bartender to talk to helps pass the time a bit. And we sit at the bar now at our favorite place in NYC since the bartender is awesome and the scene is way more fun. Of course, the bar eating has its downside, too. When I quit my job and stopped travelling so much and consequently stopped eating (and drinking) at a bar every night I lost ~20 pounds of vodka weight.

How do you know that yet? A few weeks out the plane hasn't been assigned.

Hehehe....let me know. I'm pretty sure I'm in town and would love some entertainment.

Not me either. I just finished off some Pappasito's in Terminal E because UA is too crappy to load lunch for F on a mainline flight that leaves DEN at almost 11:00 AM and arrives at IAH at 2:00 PM. At least I had a nice long three hour layover at IAH before the next flight (thankfully on CO) to get something.

Is there a way to transfer CO miles from one person to another? CO.com isn't being helpful, and the guy I went to play golf with yesterday claims he has 70k CO miles he wants to give me because he hasn't flown CO in a long time.

At times they've run promotions that allow you to transfer miles to another person, but I don't think it's an ongoing program.

Not affordably. You could have him book a ticket in your name, but even then if you wanted to change it or anything you'd have to do it as him. Otherwise they charge $15/1000 miles or something like that. Not a great deal at all.

Yes, but for a cost. Details here.

Overheard at dinner tonight...

"Yeah, there was a salad bar with General Tso's Chicken, cole slaw and one spare rib."

I can't help but think she was talking about Houston, not NYC. :D

Could also easily be any Jersey Shore-area Chinese buffet too.
