Ditto for if you're passing through Manhattan.

While I ordinarily wouldn't turn it down, and thank you, I'm not by myself. My traveling companion is very much a non-FTer. (Not my girl...local hotel booking company owner/fellow golf nut.)

And in a total pendulum swing from yesterday with the thing about the kids' book, we may or may not be stopping in North Jersey to make an appearance at the 55th birthday party of one of my mother's clients, which is being held at one of the several strip clubs he owns. ^^^

I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on LH's F seat. It always looked a little odd to me.

Hope you enjoy your trip! Will we get a running trip report as you go? :D

And how behaves your 40D? I could care less about the flights and the seats....I'm a camera geek and green with Canon envy. :D

I don't think I could have come up with a more intriguing statement if I spent all day trying. :-:

No kidding!

ConciergeMike - what kind of "appearance" are you making? If a cake is part of your entry, I don't wanna know! :p

I will try, but likely only once I get back, as I'll be trying to cram a lot into a few days.

The 40D is doing well, so far. If you click on my Photos link, the newest set has pics of my room at the W Mexico City that I took with the new camera. I haven't gotten around to uploading pics from Teotihuacan and Chapultapec Park that I took, as my home internet connection crapped out last night.

FCT Photo Frenzy is definitely on the list. I'm still ticked off that the security guard at the new Aeromexico MEX lounge shut me down after one photo . After that, I asked the folks at the main desk whether I could take pictures (told them I was a freelance travel writer). Still no luck. For all the oohs and aaahs over the new MEX lounge, I wasn't overly impressed. It's tiny (only a hair larger than the IAH A Club). Sure, it may have Xbox360 and Wii, Riedel Wine Bar, and pay-to-play spa, but that doesn't count for much if there's nowhere to sit.

I was just trolling the AA forum. AA is going to charge $15 for the first checked bag, (waived for elites)

How long till CO adopts this revenue enhancement idea?

I do write for publication on the side...some people have referred to me as a "wordsmith".

No cake...scary visual. Said client is a great guy, and if it makes sense to stop off and say hi, I'll try to convince my counterpart to partake.

Most of the seating in the lounge was at the bar in the center, and the "laptop bar" in the back near the wine lounge - there were only a few clusters of comfy chairs. I wonder how crowded it gets with J travelers before the widebody departures to South America and Europe. At least they have servers who bring beverages to your seat.
